I agree, he's the most popular, iconic and recognizable character and makes the team good money, so i'm glad he gets special treatment.

I changed the topic to 6 finishers! You guys happy now??
I just wrote seven because the dude on the video says 6-7, and as I speak portuguese I got confused..

Anyway, I hope we get 2 Fatalities, 1 Hara Kiri, A new finisher, and an Animality or a 3rd fatality!

Okay,

So I'm hoping for:

2 x Fatalities
1 x Stage Fatality
1 x Animality
1 x Friendship

I would love, *LOVE* friendships to return the most. Missed them more
than any finisher.

3 fatalities are - imo - waste of NRS developer time. It's obvious by all the decapitations and vertical split-in-halfs how stretched they are for ideas. We'd probably just get filler fatalities and more of the same recycled ideas. Better to have fewer and better quality.

That is why they should take the fans ideas into consideration and use them. Our minds are more creative than theirs, when it comes to fatalities.

However, 2 Fatalities is good enough per character. Add in the stage fatality, Friendships (I guess) and Animalities.

I have a feeling that the animals within the stages would be used for the Animalities (if we have them), I could be wrong though. They may even act as part of a stage fatality or just there for show.

Ed Boon had this to say about those finisher slots:

-

KOMBAT TETHER: In this Gamescom build there are five slots in the finishing moves list for each character, for example, two fatalities, a stage fatality and two yet to be announced alities, Is it likely this format will remain in the final game?

ED BOON: Probably not. *smiles*

-

I know he messes around a lot, but there is a possibility he is telling the truth, so that would mean this is not "KONFIRMED". Stop misusing that term, please.

Well, fans do not know the parameters or the capabilites of the engine or other contraints. Fan suggestions can be good but some fatality suggestions that I have read on forums are just downright bizarre or abhorrent and never in my opinion should be in a Mortal Kombat game.

The crocodile in the jungle stage could be used as a stage fatality. That has been suggested. I am not sure how the others could be incorporated in fatalities.

The Kove could have a sea monster; Outworld Marketplace has that lionish beast you can hop off of, and the Snow Forest has wolves in the background. I think they all have potential.

I would suggest one fatality per character and as many stage fatalities as possible coupled with a brutality.

Interestingly, in Mortal Kombat X, Ed revealed that making the "fatalities" was a big challenge because the amount of blood gushing everywhere. "It was certainly much easier to do this in 1998 than today," he joked. And how could not miss the new game will bring more options to dismantle the opponent, but fans of the classic series can also celebrate: some movements of the oldest games are also showing up in the new game.

Ed Boon has confirmed the presence of Babalities and Animalities, infantile and animalistic variations of "fatality" in Mortal Kombat X.

There's just something about this that makes me refuse to believe a word of that.

2 Fatalities
1 Stage Fatality
1 Brutality
1 Hari-Kiri

That'd be an interesting grouping.

If 1 more finisher is a Special Treatment for an iconic character.. why does have Shang Tsung three fatalities instead of two in MK2? ;)

You Sir had an awesome idea. A brutality that Ends in a stage fatality, if the stage has one. That would be really cool!

It's interesting you say that, hasn't every stage featured background animals so far?

Ice Forest - wolves
Jungle - crocodile
Marketplace - Tiger-like creature
Ocean bridge - Just about any sea creature you want to include (I'd prefer a Netherealm type octopus myself)

Stage-based animalities would make a little more sense I guess? They can still include alternate stage fatalities. Eternal Champions: COTD managed to pull multiple stage fatalities off extremely well .
