Still, i'll take what i can get and they all look good, even if Jade's costume is 'borrowed' from Li Mei. But yes, i do have a problem with the amount of whitewashing that seems to be going on around her (and in MK in general). She's now paler than the average hispanic/latino person. It would be better if they could just make up their minds and stick to it. The problem is it looks like they are trying to make her 'whiter' because someone out there called a demographic believes that caucasian is more attractive than afro-caribbean. (Whether that is the reason or not, it still appears that way, and that's bad.)
Has anyone noticed that none of the female MK characters have Afro-caribbean type hair? I work in a salon that specialises in Afro hair. Black & even some mixed race people don't have straight hair naturally. You could argue that since they are not Earthrealmers, this rule might not apply, but but again it appears that there is a caucasian-appeal-bias in the mix somewhere.

Well the problem is Jade was based off of Kitana, who had a caucasian actress.
The other issue is Tanya... she was a last minute character who was based on guess who? Kitana!
The only non-white MK character that was not based on a caucasian was really Jacqui... and she actually has the appropriate hair style.
Oh and then there's Jataaka................... extensions or a wig, no doubt.
