Just to amend what I told you earlier, I've been playing with him for several more hours, and he's pretty damn good.
You can easily get into the mid-40s with him, and he's very quick.

Hope someone else gives you feedback, though... I love him!

Haha, yeah I saw your post. I would also like to hear from some others, but so far, you've given me a reason to buy him soon.

i've only gotten to play with him a little bit, but I LOVE him, his specials and combos are superb. He's nearly perfect in every way, if only he had an alternate. His first fatality is brutal and inventive and I haven't seen the other in action, but it appears decent. I'm not a combo champion with him by any means, the highest combo I did with Kenshi was 22%. He's worthwhile for sure.


I love his telekinesis more than my boy Ermac's, which is surprising.

Kenshi's does come from the sword and Ermac's from the souls/magic within him. Kenshi was still a powerful warrior and swordsman before it.

I just like Kenshi's better because of the astral projection and his sword work and parry makes him stand out completely from Ermac, they're both wonderful characters, who are unique, I just prefer the presentation of Kenshi's specials.

Kenshi wouldnt be useless, he would be like Johnny Cage because even before he got the sword he knew Judo and Tai Chi. He knew how to fight before he had got the sword. He wouldnt even have got the sword if Shang Tsung hadnt tricked him into finding it for him. so he wouldnt be useless. I imagine just more like JC.

The sword gave him his powers, but he wouldn't be useless without it. He'd probably still have them if he lost the sword. And although he's a master swordsman he can clearly fight well in hand-to-hand combat.

Well...Kenshi before being blinded and getting the sword would be like Stryker. Now, even if the sword went missing I believe he'd still have his psychic abilities.

You don't give any evidence as to why he is a poor character, or why you dislike him so much. That's what makes it great. They are not clones of each other. To answer your other question, Kenshi is really awesome from what I've been feeling. I too have been using him for a couple hours, and he has a nice smooth play style, and some pretty neat keep away options. Definitely worth the purchase if you ask me.

Kenshi's walk speed and posture are terrifying and somehow hilarious.
