I'm going to go slightly off to the side with this. But does anyone remember what Stryker looked like on the versus screen before you started a match in MK3? He always had plain white eyes, which to me made him look really menacing and gave him something else other than his average riot cop type guy look. Any one remember those white eyes?

More on topic though, if there are alternate costumes, if a person chooses the same character after someone else has already picked them. They should automatically get the alternate costume (or if the opponent has chosen the alternate they simply get the primary).

Ok this has already been mentioned, but there's going to to be people playing a blue Jade, or a Yellow Sub-zero. I'm sorry but if this were Street fighter, you can still tell Ken and Ryu apart when they're in each others colours. It's not the same thing in Mortal kombat. The ninja's may not look 100% alike but they're close enough that it would be hard to tell and I really don't think unlocking all those colour swaps is that fun.

If this influx of colours is in the game, I really hope they don't get carried away like Street fighter. 10 colours for 35 characters= 350 colour swaps. I don't need that many options. To me it's overkill. I get wanting a little diversity but 350?

Lets say we get 28 characters

x10=280 colour swaps
x5=140 colour swaps
x3=84 colour swaps

I could live with 2, I would be perfectly happy with only 2 colours. If they insist on more I really hope they don't push past 4-5 per character. It just gets redundant after that many.

Having so many color variations would be an overkill and wouldn't really fit for Mortal Kombat. The question was whether you want to have the way they gave us alternative color costumes in 2d and whether you're able to choose them like in MK/DC or not. Ninjas would deal the issue the same way like before, having minor tone differences mainly.

@Kramer: Did you mean this?

Huh, never thought people would have a qualm with colors.

Colors mean quite a lot in this game. A difference in color could mean an entirely different character. But it's not a very big deal.
