The fact that Rain is in the background doesn't mean anything.
I'm not saying he's in, but Kitana was in the Background of Kahn's arena and she's playable.
He could also still be DLC cuz Tanya was in Kahn's arena, but she was also on one of Boon's possible DLC lists.
He could also be a placeholder as stated in a post before, but I don't think so.
I think some of the characters in the background are playable fighters that are placed there when you're not playing as them or something.

Thats news to me, however the MKcomunity manager did tweet about if you want the tournament edition better get it now!

Mostly because his appearance in his MKA outfit is basically the kiss of death for his chances of making this game.

That's actually quite disappointing to hear.

I'd expect MKO to always be on top of things regarding MK News and updates.

This is probably the best known main MK site out there, so, it kind of makes sense that it should keep itself on top of things Mk related. I'm not saying make a news article about every fan video on youtube, but, official releases like this should be brought to the communities attention even if they aren't necessarily new, though technically they are.

It's nice to have these kind of things covered for the fans and it always felt good to know that MKO would make sure that all these kind of updates were brought to our attention.

I enjoy coming here for the news/updates. I don't want to feel like I need to check out 10 other fansites and forums in order to be absolutely sure that you guys aren't missing any cool news and updates just because they are (in MKO's own opinion) not, well, "new enough" to be news. I do check many other sites for news that MKO might have missed, but, never because I thought MKO would think twice about updating something like this.

For example: I'm very passionate about collecting/saving Mk videos and screenshots. I'm that kind of fan and I'm sure there are many others like me. HQ releases are always so welcoming and awesome to see even if they've been seen before in (much) lower resolution. I always appreciate the pics and save them in my collection.

Besides, I don't think it should be assumed that just because some of us saw the Magazine pictures (in the mag or in the form of scans) that everyone else did as well. A pic or two or more might have been missed by other fans who didn't get their hands on the scans/mags.

I think that HQ releases of pictures and videos we've seen before (specially of pictures that were not available online and in such quality) should qualify as news and should be brought to the attention of the fans and MKO's community. It's just my opinion concerning such a great site. I don't want to feel like I need to check 10 other sites just because MKO thinks some updates are worthy of news and others are not (specially something as awesome as this).
