I just don't feel that projectiles work on a 3D plain. Look at 3D fighters that we have, other than MK. Dead or Alive, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter. Out of all those, Mortal Kombat is the one that doesn't work. The other 3D fighters have very little, or no, projectiles in them. And I know that if they took projectiles out of Mortal Kombat, it would cause a riot among the fans. I don't want them to remove projectiles from MK, just make them useful again. How do you do that? 2D. They tried to make it work quite a few times now, and it just doesn't work.

Yeah the guy who made it isn't very good at Photoshop, that's for sure. It is not related to MK9 though.

that does not really mean its on a 2d plain but it is possible. it could be 3d and be fast...maybe they figured out the right formula for MK as a 3d fighter and it is finally working for them. until we are told or shown we will not know. either way a faster pace is welcomed.

mk3 and mk4 were the fastest mk games. mk3 was 2d and mk4 was 2d with a side step. the slowest are mks are 3d.

anyways a SUPER fast 3d game does not feel right. so its probably on a 2d plane, but it could be 3d. mk9 might feel similar to mk4......

MK9 better not feel similar to MK4.

yeah im just saying it might be similar because its(mk4) the fastest mk with a 3d feel. i hope mk9 is not like it though. i really think this game is going to be on a real 2d plane.

I too believe this is going to be on a 2D plane. They probably got inspired by SF4. Also, MK4 was actually one of my favorite games although everyone hated it so. I would not shed a single tear if it reminded of that one
