He should be in all black of course but still visible, no more rubber outfit he needs full cloth and the cloth should look like its ripping off of him and turning into a black smoke that mists up. He should look like a classic Ninja in black but with some tweeks to make him look like a demon, like Scorpion but less flashy. He'd look menacing in a subtle way.

In my opinion Noob needs to basically look like a mix between the grim reaper and a ninja.

Jet black hood covering his face. A long sleevless over coat, with his bondage style pants / buckles / boots / shit underneath , and long black gloves carrying a big ass scythe , or two smaller scythes like Nitara. The only skin you would see would be on his arms, which I think should look like more of a white / gray rotting corpse look.

Well Typical We see Noob Saibot as one of the bad guys.

Storyline change can be in the works,

Make him a true neutral with a purpose.

Make Him and the Brotherhood of Shadows not loyal to Shinnok but involved in Shinnok's storyline.

With this storyline, a possiblity of internal betrayals within the Brotherhood of Shadow between Those are interested in serving Shinnok to further their goals and the ones that want to keep Shinnok imprisoned there in the Netherrealm.

Noob saibot should NEVER EVER be a clone of Scorpion and sub-zero this time around... I would totally HATE that.

Also I like the tar/shadow idea, make noob like glacius and ooze-like.

maybe some shadow-like copy of reiko, to make him look original and NOT like Scorpion at ALL.

well I kindva like the idea that Noob Saibot having some storyline relationship between MK1 SubZero, Scorpion and Kano.

Either Overall Design, Alternate Costume, Special moves, or Storyline that paids Tribute to his progression from Mk2 to MKT to Mk4.

This New Mortal Kombat is a tribute to the Older Mortal Kombat(2d and overall feel), a sequel to MKA, and overall Reboot.

Do I want MK1 Sub Zero to have more of a deeper story than he gotten in MKM:SZ and MK1? Yes I do

Do I want His little brother to play a heroic role? Yes I do because I actually do like what happen to him MK2 to MKA.

Do I want both of them to be and have a different feel to them? Yes

Do I want Noob Saibot and Mk1 Sub Zero to stand on their own terms as MK Characters while not being the one and the same character? Yes I do

Am I a fan of both and their respective clans? yes I am

Am I a frakin dork that ask too many questions? Yes I am

I would't mind black ice moves for Noob.I mean he has to transform into the wraith gradually and losing his old skills and achieving the new ones.So in the middle of the transformation, he could use black ice and shadows and such.

I couldn't care less if Jade, Noob and Smoke doesnt make it in this game

they are boring characters, with boring move sets who were only cool at first when introduced as palette swaps hidden characters but since then they didn't develop at all unlike a character like Ermac for example who not only have cool moves but also a story that is getting interesting.

True Scorpion didn't develop that much but at least he was one of the ORIGINAL palette swaps.

I've heard somewhere, the older Sub-Zero is playable in this MK. But no one say Sub-Zero we just seen since E3 is the older.
So Noob Saibot is in the game, but maybe not in Sub-Zero's. Hum... if Sub we saw is the older (:(), i just hope Sub-Zero the young is not inside a cyber body... :s

I highly doubt they would use this smokey idea, and I'm suprised no one else has pointed it out: that it would way too similar to the actual character: Smoke.

As for the liquid thing - I can't see that working either. Noob Saibot is supposed to be about shadows and darkness, and that teleport-like move in MK: SM isn't meant to be liquid, it's shadows.

I agree on MK Trilogy moves being brought back as that its the only MK game where I will actually play as him (I don't like his moves or appearance in the later games).

I think he should look like his OSZ form just all in black (including his skin). Having his skin normal colour and then giving him black clothes just makes him look like he's into the weird stuff. Being black is supposed to be because of his shadowy nature - where he gets his powers from. In a sense he should be like a black hole; where light does not reflect and nothing can be seen other than the shadows.

Either way I want to see a OSZ/Noob Saibot hybrid and to bring back his rivalry with Scorpion (Scorpion vs Noob Saibot has been a long time wish of mine).

Like I said in the other Noob topic.

I want a NON ninja NON conquest Noob.

Something like Glacius from killer instict would be fine for his true form.

And I want his true demonic parasite form to be in this game, not the sub-zero vessel version.

Canonically, Noob Saibot has NEVER been a parasite or possession. He actually IS Sub-Zero.
Also, why the hell are there three topics on the front page for the same character? Can we get a mod to clean things up, please?

Noob was at his best in MK Trilogy. Teleportation ability leaving trails of shadow, dashing shadow throw, block disabler. He never felt more unique or original. Hated the fact that he basically had nothing but invisibility, throwing stars, and Mileena's teleport kick in MKD. Dude needs to get his original moveset back....as long as that broken-ass block disabler is fixed with severe recovery time or a very small window of effect.

I have no idea where this nonsense came from, aside from maybe one of those garbage MK:A endings.

I'd also just like to point out that Conquest isn't the only time Noob's body been depicted as an oily or liquefied darkness.

There was almost a Deception comic, but the company that was making it, some backwater publisher I've never heard of, went belly-up or something, I don't know. I just know the comic never saw the light of day. I heard one issue of it actually came out but I've sure never seen it.

I have, however, seen pages from it published in the MKD strategy guide. And these pages depict Noob's teleportation as him appearing out of a black puddle, sort of like he melted through a crack in the floor like a T-1000, and that's how he breaks into Kahn's treasure room and finds Smoke.

Personally, I prefer the idea his shadow powers behaving like liquid to them behaving like puffs of smoke like in the recent games, because when it's like that, he's basically stealing Smoke's gimmick and I like everybody's special effects to be unique to themselves.

Yea, the liquid kinda references the Cryomancy as well. Kinda like his Cryomancy infused with Shadow powers form the liquid-shadow effect.

I could actually see that being the case, because we have seen now that he can just manfest from ice out of nowhere and I dont see why not he cant form from a liquid shadow substance.

Plus I thought that was pretty cool in the deception comic.

Eh, I dunno that I'd ever want to see it connected to his Cryomancy, I'd really rather prefer if his mortal powers were just flat out lost and replaced for all time when he became Noob, I think the concept is more solidified and less intermingle-y between his life self and death self that way.

I just think it seems more natural for darkness/shadow to behave like a liquid than like a gas, lol.

Yeah I would rather it be a black liquid substance than their past depictions of his shadow powers..........it just looks to similar to Smokes ablilties

When I think "Shadow Ninja" I think more ethereal wispy darkness vs oozing viscous darkness. I'm biased though from having played a lot of Darkness powersets in the mmo City of Heroes/Villains.

Anyhow, I can see the need to distinguish Noob from Smoke though and Smoke certainly should take precedent over "smoky" gameplay. So that being said, "Noob Ooze" is a decent enough fit thematically.

That is not true, as its never fully been explaned why Sub-Zero became noob, they can twist this whole story just like they twisted it back then, Noob became sub-zero in one game, in MK3trilogy he didn't had the backstory of being sub-zero yet, just something with Shinnock if I remember well.

So the demonic parasite actually makes sense, why the hell would sub-zero become a demon? Why ashrah calls noob a demon? He's a demonic parasite, and if he's not than make him one, his story is one that could change into something positive... a black ninja is boring and noob is the most boring character after Goro in MK1 till 3 for me, from a black scorpion to a black sub-zero with cool moves, i'll give him that...

But Noob could become so much more, everybody loves demonic parasites.

It's not a bad idea - if it's handled with care and done in an interesting and none-Spider-man kinda way. I personally don't want the oozey, slimey, Vemon-like concept. I like the way he was in MK Trilogy, all black, and hidden in shadows - like a blackhole where light cannot escape or reflect his appearance.

I find that way more interesting and original than the over cliche slimey, goo-man. Oh, and I know he's not that much of a major character, but the whole liquid thing has been taken by Rain (which is another character that need a make-over).

Ultimately, Noob Saibot really was at his best in MK Trilogy and he should be like that in this game.
