Everyone, hanky got his idea from the SFxT game. Another is being developed by Namco so that the Street Fighters fight like Tekken characters called Tekken X Street Fighters. So, [redacted] has a point.

Ono from Capcom has also expressed interest in doing a cross over game with MK. Unfortunately Capcom doesn't have the capital to make such a game possible [they couldn't afford to lacquire the rights to use the MK characters from NRS. Yes Capcom is doing that badly]
I would rather see Capcom get their house in order first before attempting another cross-over series.

What about the other way around? Can NRS afford to take on Capcom's characters?

Probably depends how much money WB has. Which I'm pretty sure is at least more than Capcom has, at least

So this is saying we might not even get a SF5. Where does it say Ono from Capcom has also expressed interest in doing a cross over game with MK?

Though I would love to see a SF5, I doubt we will see one within the next 5 years, maybe even more. Either Capcom needs to find a way to get funds or they will close down. Worst case scenario, SF5 will never happen... and that means MKvsSF won't ever happen either.
Which means... Mortal Kombat VS Killer Instinct has a better chance of happening, expecially if the new KI keeps the success it has now. ^^

The day Street Fighter is no more will be a very sad day. Street Fighter is/one of leading fighting games. Maybe Capcom or Street Fighter will be acquired by someone like what happened to Mortal Kombat and Warner Bros.

He's an interview where he expressed his interest in a SFxMK game http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2012/jan/29/ono-interested-street-fighter-crossover-mortal-kombat/ . Capcom have revealed that their won't be another SF until [once USF4 is released] until 2018.

Cool, I've added it to the OP. I've also added Boon saying MK X SF is inevitable.
Ono interested in Street Fighter crossover with Mortal Kombat
Ed Boon says Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter is inevitable
Overall not surprising, Capcom fucked everyone over, including themselves. And the japanese game trade is also on uncertain ground.
Hell, big money Triuple-A game developing itself is going to fail, preferably the sooner the better. Game development does not need to cost as much as it does. The same thing with movies essentially.
