Let's talk about something crucial, like gameplay. Last night I had some friends over and we played versus for around 4 hours straight. Which leads me to my only complaint so far, the fucking grabs.

TWICE, the character's inability to grab cost me a match. I grab the guy, perfect range, he never saw it coming since he was literally standing infront of me, and my character's arms go THROUGH the opposing player model......I'm sure you know what happened next and why I'm ranting about it. Obviously this is a glaring issue, which surprisingly I haven't heard a rant about. Hoping the game doesn't ship like this because grabs are essential to gameplay, especially against campers.

Damn I didnt know x box 360 was $50.00 a year I am glad I got a Playstation. Ok now Im gonna get on my demo and try to make up some new combos with scorpion.

So far my biggest combo is like 24 hits. Thats a lot of hits, my biggest combos in trilogy would be like 7-9 hits, I am liking the combo scaling in mk9 bc the combos are bigger and flashier but the matches go on longer and are more competitive bc they don't die as quickly but i' m wondering if infinite combos would be possible.

Did anybody else notice that with johnny cage u can do a ton of anti air punches in a combo? I did like one pop up and 7 or 8 punches then a shadow kick this was all in the corner but u can dash and interchange between the 2 punch buttons and get more in without the corner. I remember in the older games it was hard to get more then 2 aa punches in a combo.

im ranting about people wanting ass characters to fuck up the new mortal kombat i mean the classic characters from MK 1-3 are good enough besides boi rai cho and quan chi that came later the new characters fucking sucked ass hard... especially that retard hsu shu or some shit i hated! him Li Mei was meh....frost.. was sub zero wit tits lol mavado was actually kind of cool but played too much like kabal/kano if they do decide to add those characters i hope they are dlc and like dirt cheap

My only complaint is from some of the fans. I mean I come on here and expect to be talking to fellow diehards, but I see more complaining and bitching than anything else. Problems with gameplay or something that has a big impact is understandable and even having a small gripe about something is understandable. But people act like Kitana's hair or Sub-Zero's stance is going to break/ruin the damn game. Seriously?! It's not that big of a deal. Yeah you may not like it but you're not even going to care about once you actually get the game. So stop trying to start WWIII because YOU don't like an outfit and expect NRS to change it. We should all be grateful especially after what we've been having to play for years now. Yes it's MK and I own/love the games but realistically they were lacking. This new game blows all of them away and is amazing in every aspect and I for one am eternally grateful to Boon and Co

I don't have anything to rant about, I think the demo is fine. Then again I'm not that picky like some people on this board lol.

Reptile looks like crap. His feet are too big and his eye color should be orange. Also add more scales and give reptile a darker skin tone. And what the fuck is up with that cheap chest/should plate and that WWE drop kick?

my only problem is that the game does not seem to be fast enough. not only that but other fighting games seem to be way faster in terms of keeping the battle going on. some of the games that i think are still faster are doa series,tekken series,soul calibur series,street fighter series.

overall i think the game is the best yet since mk4 but it still seems a bit slow in combos, juggles, and etc. i have not played the demo but have watched vids and looked at dozens of screens.

also noticed some missed connections of moves and hit detection problems. i'm sure those things will be fixed before the game comes out.

Not much to rant about other than I wish Scorpion burned Smoke's hair in the new Mortal Kombat.

It's been a while since I been here! Well, I'll say this. I loved MK for the gameplay, the brutality of the game, and the storyline. Now, it's strictly gameplay and that's if it's good. Everyone said most characters were gonna be killed off after Armageddon. (lie) Doesn't seem like the storyline is moving forward. The storyline has just lost all credibility. I just had to say something. All I can say now for new MKs is I hope it's fun. It just sucks saying that cuz I was always looked forward to the story... oh well.

There's really only one negative quality that has caught my attention about this title, and it's doesn't even really relate to the game itself. I'm just slightly annoyed that we see so much Scorpion or Sub-Zero game play, and very little gameplay from other characters, such as Baraka, Reptile, Shang Tsung, ect. Key word being slightly.

Haha same thoughts here! every other char is well-polished and reptile......... doesnt look like reptile lol. and i wish he could look more human like an umk3/mkt
