Why am I not surprised by this? I avoided the Midway forums because of that crap, so I guess I'll be staying away from the official ones as well. Figures.

As far as complaints go, mine are pretty minor. I agree with the people saying Mileena's x-ray move needs more spice. Hers should definitely involve her using her sais on the opponent. Perhaps she could plunge them into the shoulders or something. *shrugs*

I have 2 rants:

1) They're putting non-MK characters in the game!
2) The official MK boards won't load for me.

kabal-needs to be more serious. he has no reason to act cocky. he should be mean and serious like darth vader. after all they both have been injured and have lost close people. drath's breathing effect could help to.

shao kahn-sounds like a wanna be tough guy in a bar. let the announcer do him or jeff meek from mk conquest.

sindel-to much authority in her voice. more for sheeva. she should sound more like mileena but older.

smoke-WTF!! terrible. sounds like jabar from disney. should be whispering and deep. shouldnt talk much anywaysi it fits his disguise style.

ermac-sounds to cyborgish

sektor-does not not sound like cyborg

shang-good, add more hiss and make him sound older.

quan-make him sound more like the guy(adoni maropis) from mk conquest.

sub zero-terrible sounds like a generic hero. should have a sense of hurt and anger in his voice.

stryker-should be more serious. after all earth is being destroyed and riots are running wild. i know i wouldnt be joking. sounds to cartoony to. try something like batman voice.

Are you really finding something about EVERY new voice to complain about? I can understand not liking Shao Kahn, but you don't need to nit pick every detail of their voice! You just have to accept that this is the way the character sounds as deemed by their creators, and they can't constantly tweak everything until it fits your individual preconceived notion of what they should sound like

hey man im just taking facts from the game. the voices do not fit their story lines and charcters in mk. its not WHAT I WANT, its how they should be portrayed according to their story.

quan chi sounds fine, smoke is fine and someone mentioned on another thread that maybe kabal just bottled up his rage and lets it out later (please let him take out the extermination squads by himself)

I want Liu Kang and Rain in it.

Rain - Make him transform into a Vegeta-like personality.

Liu Kang - Serious like Ryu, funny and cocky like Goku

I wish both were in the game.

Stryker - Maybe after the 1-3 game, he'd change his personality into Batman/Punisher style when.... "who knows!" maybe if he has a family, they'd be assassinated by the Forces of Darkness' squads.

Remember, this is a retelling so the characters personalities may have changed from what we once knew. Sub-zero is out for revenge now for example.. Also all of the intro taunts are most likely just outside of story mode. Whereas I'm sure the story mode will have more oomph for each character since they'll actually be using more emotion with their dialogue.

Some rants from me:

Mileena's been ranked no.1 for half a month now and still there's nothing unlocked on her page at the official site... That's annoying...

I was hoping once everything gets unlocked for the current 5 characters we'll get a set of 5 new characters to talk about, but things are going too slow for that to happen, I fear...

For some time now I've been unable to access the official boards. What's up with that?

The developers are putting in-game content to a game that's not finished as special Pre-Orders.
The retro ninja suits and their old school fatalities should be in the game itself.
I'm still disappointed that Scorpion's "Toasty" Fatality won't be in the game.
And for the 360 version, the avatar clothing should be an Avatar Award you can unlock.
For fuck sakes, the Ps3 is getting better treatment of the game, the only thing that can equal it up is if they put in some Avatar Awards, fuck a 360 exclusive character (since no Microsoft exclusive would fit in the MK Universe anyway).

Guest characters are a horrible edition to MK but now they're even being used as cover boys for magazines. This is MK not MK vs GOW

With each day that goes by, I'm more convinced that the power points at themortalkombat.com mean absolutely nothing. So someone has to be number 1 for at least a month or longer to unlock something? No wonder they didn't bother putting Kung Lao, Reptile, and the Cyborgs up there. It would have been completely a lost cause.

Why not have Tanya in MK 2011?

It'd be nice to see her in this game acting as a good guy (before she reveals she is evil). Plus I'd actually like to see more a development on her character.

She has an attraction to the forbidden areas of Magic; I'd like to see her use some of this "forbidden magic". The closest thing Tanya has ever done to being considered "magic" (and at the same time, is original in her case) is that Kiss of Death fatality she had in MK 4. That was actually a pretty nice fatality. She gained that Invisibility power in MK Deception. But that's not necessarily original in her case; Reptile is known for the Invisibility move. And as for her fireballs...fire should just be left for Scorpion.

Kabal: A member of the Forces of Light and forming a vigilante group against cruel groups that choose to serve Shao Kahn including other dangerous threats in Earthrealm.

Liu Kang: More shaolin moves that'll make him the best character in history.

Rain: Make him part of the roster. Have him be a part of the entire series. More weather abilities.

Tremor: Return him in the next game. The game needs an earth warrior.

Noob Saibot: More shadow abilities instead of Shurikens.

Smoke: Wielding a kusarigama including more smoke abilities.

New Characters for the next game:
- A lycanthrope from a rival tribe of NIghtwolf's.
- (Sektor forming the Tekunin clan) Creating new cyber warriors for his clan: one with magnetism, toxics and gravity.
- A vampire prince
- A thief that controls plants
- A new soldier of the special forces with the ability to change his size from normal, big & small.
- An alien from another planet who seeks out warriors and their energy to gain his completed form. (Like Cell from DBZ, Doctor Octopus and Venom.)
- An arachnid warrior who is a rival to Reptile
- A tibetan monk/lama with mystical magic like Doctor Strange.

Tanya has always been evil.

But there was a point when nobody knew when Tanya was evil. It'd be nice to see her in the past back when she was acting as a good guy. Also, we'd be able to possibly explore how it is she became evil in the first place.
