One word: Amazing.
I can tell you without a doubt that this will be the best Mortal Kombat game ever released. After experiencing the game for the first time tonight I feel that it has not only lived up to all the hype, but shattered it. The game plays like a dream - fast, fluid and strategic all at a consistently smooth frame rate. The game also sports brilliant graphics and sound with hardly no load time at all between matches. It really makes you appreciate how much work NRS is putting into this one
Weighing in @ only 550 MB the Mortal Kombat 2011 PS3 demo offers quite an experience. Choose from 4 playable characters - Sub Zero, Scorpion, JC, and Mileena and two stages - The Pit II and The Living Forest. Climb the arcade ladder up 4 matches and end with a tease against Goro. After fading to black see a new trailer revealing more gameplay, Xrays and fatalities - very gruesome stuff.
I'm hesitant to post my gameplay and trailer captures on YouTube due to the WB's tight hold on MK9 video releases now. I don't want to get another strike with them. Hope you guys get to try out this incredible game soon!

Glad to hear its really good. I don't think you should worry about WB. This is a demo wildly available to the public. Why would they get pissed about footage of it?
I love all of your videos so far. You should deffinately capture each fighters special moves, enhanced moves, x-ray, and fatality. That would be great.

they dont do too bad on expert. maybe it was just because i was preoccupied trying to get a feel for characters and the game in general

Wish I could share a first impression with this demo but while it was downloading (At 90% no less) I got hit with the Yellow Light Of Death and I can't find a quick fix to it so it looks like I'll be without a PS3 for a week or two.

I feel that some of the moves are a bit slow, or maybe I'm not pushing the buttons fast enough lol but there is a difference between Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage in terms of speed
Having trouble with the x-rays too. I guess some can only be done as counters?

Sub-Zero is powerful, but his trade-off as you said, is his speed.
Johnny Cage is the only character with a parry x-ray

From @MK_MortalKombat's twitter
"Making videos of the demo? If you have them on YouTube, post them as a response to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mNAFq1erEk"
I think that means you're in the clear to post your stuff, Ryu.

Pause the game it's listed in the movie list, press x to view the special move list, and at the bottom it shows the fatalities.
Scorpion's are:
Stage: toward, up, up, square
fatality 1: forward, down, forward, triangle
Side note has anyone figured out how to do the living forest stage fatality seen in the end video? I couldn't get it to work with Scorpion. Does anyone know the placement within the stage, or where to stand? I would assume you have to be right next to your opponent.

i highly doubt the forest stage fatal is in the demo. why? because why would they add it to the trailer at the end if you can already see it in the demo...

As far as I've heard the only stage fatality in the demo is The Pit. They (NRS) stated that every character has one fatality plus the pit stage fatality in the demo; they are saving the Living Forest one for the full release.

I need help with a quick question - is that "elbow dash" move that Scorpion does called grave digger? I cannot for the life of me perform grave digger (do you press triangle and square at the same time?) and would appreciate any help figuring out how to do this move.

does it cost or is the demo free ? thanks for awnsers in advance
One thing that few people bring up about the gaemplay, it it's resemblance to Street Fighter 4.
Dashes for movement
Charge moves that can be dash canceled
Can wake up with special moves
Enhanced moves are like EX
X-ray is like the Ultra or Super combo
