I liked his Hookswards in UMK3, they were used in a decent balance in his combo's. Of course I can also see a Kabal that uses his hookswords 100% of the time being a very cool/lethal fighter. The only way I'd be disappointed with Kabal is if he doesn't have his hook swords at all which I doubt would ever happen. Oh and I'd be disappointed if he got that stupid scream fatality back, they can do a lot better for him.

1) More than likely they'll be incorporated into his combos.

2) I've never seen hookswords linked together. As far as I know, their unique shape is based on keeping opponents from trying to "steal" them from your hands. Could be wrong, though.

You can see it on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the Shaolin monk episode of Deadliest Warrior... it's pretty sick

They'll return for sure. They were part of his character, which Malvado stole from him. I can see a nice fatality with them this time around where he pulls your brains out like they did to the egyptian kings b4 they mummyfied them, they used a similar looking tool.

Kabal is super slick. One of the coolest looking characters by far

I am certain it will be used in his throw and I'm not just saying that because he does in MK3. I don't see that version of his throw is returning anyway.

He'll probably use then in combos like Scorpion does with his swords or Kitana does with her fans. It would be weird not to have him using them a lot. I just hope he gets some better fatalities

Yeah, but more like Kitana because she uses her fans a lot in her combos, while Scorpion doesn't use his swords that much and I want to see Kabal use his hookswords in all of their glory.

This guy also needs some good new special moves.

1- ground projectile
2- air projectile
3- dash
4- new, please (involving hookswords)
5- new, please (maybe also involving hookswords, but not necessarily)

Any ideas anyone?

That MKD telekinetic move was disappointing, imo, and his MK3 ground saw was hmm... Strange?

Can't wait to see him in action!

I just pray that he does not become THE FLASH of this game. As in I hope his dash move isnt broken as hell (or they just ditch it) God I hate people who use the flash online

Here's a sketch I drew, that shows an attack I thought up. Here the hookswords are going past each other in opposite directions, so that the enemy gets a two-for-one slicing with the crescent blades on the handles.

I like Mavado better than Kabal but he won't be in it.

I liked the MKA 50/50 in Hookswords with the axe kick/free throw or high-low swipe. Will miss that shit in MK 2011.

Kabal will likely use his swords in specials or to end a combo or to do a special tag move or something.

My ideas...

Throw
Dashes behind his opponent, slams his hooks into their back and knees them in the spine, launching them foward

X-Ray
He slams the hooks into their shoulder's and pulls them down face-first and stomps on their skull or spine

Fatality
If they revamp his original fatalities like the other characters, I'd like to see the one where he spins the character and slices them. Only now, there would be more detail as he chops them up and the pieces go flying

Specials
Fireball (can be done in air), Speed Dash and Saw Blade should return

even if the saw blade makes no sense it should return in some way.
maybe instead of blades he summons more hook swords that spin along the ground or soemthing.
