I fought Goro last night. Holy shit! He is one hard fuck. I couldn't even beat him.
I also fought Motaro but he was a little easier. Just jump kicking and punching.

Both MK1 and UMK3 are fine, but MK2 is almost fucking impossible.

I usually jump into Motaro with a punch and then just string it into a combo. With most fighters, it usually gets him.

With most fighters, you can kinda trick the AI. You have to time it correctly, but you can get the computer to jump after you once you jump backwards. Jump backwards and normally the computer jumps after you a second or two after you have jumped, giving you time to either roundhouse, freeze, spear, fan lift, etc and set them up for an attack. Give it a shot.

At the moment, I'm fighting Sub-Zero (MK2) and I try to jump back and he freezes me. But when I can jump back without being frozen and try to freeze, spear, fireball or kick him he always ducks and freezes me and throws me or uppercuts me.
I've tried every possible thing I could think of but I just can't beat him.

There is, but it doesn't effect MK2 for some reason. But you can make the other 2 very easy to very hard.

So the MK2 in this collection is basicly the same impossible and crappy arcade port they already released on PSN before? I'm not paying for that same game again. I already have it on 1237462389 other systems. They should have ported MK2 with the megadrive AI. That one was fun to play.

Really? MK2 is the easiest one imo, the CPU is can easily be manipulated to doing things and letting you do counter attacks. UMK3 is only easy for me with robo-Smoke since I have a great combo with him, MK1 is the one I suck most at.

Same with me for UMK3
It's Tele-Punch, Spear, 2, 2, 4, 3, 1
( I switched the controlls so it's like MK9)

I wrote a semi strategy guide for MK2 for Sub-Zero, but can be applied to every other character with a few tweaks if you guys are interested.
I beat the PSN MK2 on Very Hard, so maybe you guys do want it, lol.

I'll take it.
MK2 requires patience, but it can be beaten with use of the backwards jump trick and the Death Punch glitch (though I forget if that was in later versions, or the SNES version, or whathaveyou. Pretty sure it was in the Arcades).
There are so many ways to exploit the UMK3 AI it isn't funny.
Personally I find MK1 the hardest of the bunch, especially the damn endurance rounds.

Seriously guys? MK1 is easy! I beat it Johnny Cage without a continue on the PSP. MK2 pisses me off(when in doubt, use Baraka or JC)

MK1 is pretty easy for me too. MK2 is just.......*grinds teeth*
In UMK3, Jade is easily beaten by Kabal. Actually, most characters are. When you use Kabal, All your opponents will really do is run up to you and knee you. That's it.
So try using him. I found the best strategy to be just jump right into them and start doing a regular combo.

I find with the arcade stick, playing the classic games the skills and whatnot come back quite easily. Its more or less muscle memory. I found all three games difficult at first but the more I played them like I used to in the arcade, it all came back easy.
Ex: UMK3, I haven't played since the arcade, I decided when it came out on home systems that I already beat it, so I didn't want to do it again. So, i didn't get it. So, it was a while since I played. but, I found after about 20 mins of playing with the arcade stick and being beaten like a red headed stepchild that all the combos and whatnot I learned when playing in the arcade all came back, I even did a fatality without even looking. I just...did it. So, the games became easier .
So, don't fret about how difficult the games are. it will all come back to you eventually.
