It Has Begun!

I hope there is someone at PAX who is a big enough MK fan to capture some vids and photos for all of us waiting to see it in full action.

oh geez more of this private booth shit? i hope that does not mean yet more of the no cameras, no video, no nothing media coverage. hopefully it is playable to all and anyone can record what they want.

PAX is open to public. There is no Embargo.

Mortal Kombat is openly available to the public as it will be on the showfloor.

This however is a private play session with the Editor of IGN.

I'm starting to worry that PAX isn't going to introduce anything we haven't seen before. If it turns out to be a playable build of what was already at the previous convention, that will yield some nice gameplay vids. That in itself is great, but I don't think I'm being selfish when I say we should have had more character reveals by now.

Six months of development is a very short amount of time.

Considering PAX is a big event I do anticipate that we'll be getting something.

Not sure what, But I strongly believe we will learn something new.

I'm sure you're right, but the Twitters have been uncomfortably quiet. I thought they'd be teasing us by now.

Then again, I'm getting harder and harder to satisfy. If PAX comes and the new reveal ends up being Kano, I'm estimating I'll have about 28 seconds of excitement & awe before going into "wait mode" again. I want to see a reveal that answers current controversies, like Smoke, Quan Chi, Sheeva, or Younger Sub-Zero.

Actually man, there is plenty of shit we haven't even seen from the previous two builds. We never saw any gameplay from Shang Tsungs Throne Room, never saw any footage from Shao Kahns arena. Didn't see everyones fatalities in action. There is PLENTY we never saw. Sure, I want new reveals but god dammit, I really just wanna see what we already fucking should have seen haha.

I dont want to see anymore fatalities but i would love to see some arenas, renders,new characters anything!!!!!! They have to release something I mean at least show the arenas we've already seen but in better quality.

Well, it's hard for me to get excited about arenas and fatalities. Ever since MK4, the characters and story have become my anchor into the series. I enjoy arenas/fatalities, but I don't actually look forward to them (Unless the fatality belongs to one of my favorite characters).

Gameplay on the other hand has me really excited. If MK2011 becomes an integral part of gaming tournaments, I will most definitely participate in the ones in my area.

TBH, I'd be happy to see footage of the already seen characters. We haven't seen Kitana and Cyrax in action yet.

They could easily show us a Belltower fatality and consider it "NEW" by WB standards tight ass. Sometimes I feel like they're treating this project like it's Area51. I'm being inpatient right now lol.

I'd be damn happy if they showed us a couple more fatalities, how about the full versions of some that we've seen tidbits of? examples: Reptile's acid mouth / stomache rip, J.Cage's Torso rip, or Subzero's spine+skull mace / freeze shatter.

What I really want to see is a 2 vs 2 match between Cyrax and Sektor vs Kitana and Mileena with great quality and players that don't jump and uppercut every time.
