Even if Scorpion was evil on the same level as Noob (he's not, btw), they have totally different motivations behind their goals.

Why would Noob ally with Scorpion?

Do the two not realize who each other are?

Scorpion may not, but Noob probably does. In this time line, It would be interesting if Noob uses Scorpion to accomplish his goal (some made up objective so that he can convince Scorpion its a noble cause) only to lead him into a trap to finally get his own revenge.

A) Quan Chi has been there, and Quan Chi has done that, and

B) They shouldn't derail Scorpions original storyline that much... or at all.

C) I think it's kinda cool that Noob doesn't care about Scorpion.

Personally, I've always wanted to see Scorpion find out who Noob is and be like "Good lord, I've created a monster" and try to kill him again. It'd give Scorp something much more interesting to do than chase the wrong brother all over again.

This is a remake anything can happen different motives can turn good or evil mean i can see them teaming up to get revenge on quan chi for using both of them. Well we went from Deception right into Armageddon then to vs DCU and now back to the beginning with a reboot which may or may not have changes. They were either saving the confrontation for a later game or they realized they screwed up so bad with everything else that they had to reboot. Hopefully we'll still get that confrontation.

This could make sense if the Scorp would still have the sense of colleguality of MK2 (the wow), but after post MK3 and especially this incarnation? No. I would see that as out of character.

"Complete monster" is a bit harsh, even for idiot Shaolin Monks and Armageddon version of Scorpion.
Besides, he seems like he doesn't want to fight Younger Sub in the latter's combo video. I'm choosing to be optimistic that they'll remember his MK2 story.
