This saddens me, I thought there would only be fatalities, but if they can go all out and fully render animals then im all for animalities.

The only downside of having animalities is that i wont see liu kangs classic dragon fatality. Instead it would be an animality. It sounds stupid, i know, but I personally like seeing and hearing the word fatality instead of anything else.

Rain is going to be playable and yes Ed and co know welll of Rain fans... think of Rain in the background as like in Mortal Kombat 3 Jade's Desert

Cyrax was in that background and was playable.. i think Rain in the background is some randoness you get when you're not playable that character.
