Dude, u seem really high strung lately. I'm cool with this stuff, I simply joke about it. As stated above though, I try to keep my nose out of story related spoilers. (such as all these Sub-Zero *spoilers* threads. They tempt me because he's one of my favorites.)

It might have come out wrong, but I didn't mean to sound offensive or anything. :P Just stating a fact. I know you meant no harm.

^ Thanks 4 clarifying.
All things considered, I'm impressed with what they've done with all of these stages. Let's hope it's not all beauty and no brains, so to speak. note: meaning I hope the game is fun and ferocious in execution.

Also, unless they just weren't finished with it at the time and it's on a later build, the lack of a Portal stage shoots down the theory that the fightable hidden characters are located exactly the same way as the old days, unless they simply moved the down and start to another stage.
I hope the former is the case. The thought revisiting this timeframe again and having no giant portal fills me with rage.

I could totally see them adding The Portal and Kombat Tomb as DLC stages, esp. since they both have potential Stage Fatalities.
That has the same $__$ potential as DLC Rain, IMO...
BTW- *love* the temporary sig!
the flesh pits look great but, yanno what? i was really hoping for a more lord-of-the-ringsy urak-hai kinda thing, with people rising out of the mud in the background. this just looks too technological for it to be the work of shang tsung, a sorcerer. somehow, the name "flesh pits" just doesnt match with that arena. but oh well, looks great anyway, just feels like an opportunity missed.
needless to say, ALL the other stages look magnificent. just beautiful.

The increase in number and quality of the stages from MKvsDCU to this, are staggering. All These stages are amazing, and I don't really have a problem with any of them. Just sad there is no portal
Wow...jaw droppingly awesome stages! I'd love to see what they would do with the Kombat tomb and the Pit I, maybe even palace gates or a more traditional warrior shrine. Not complaining mind you, just seeing these old levels as I could only imagine them back in the day I'm getting greedy haha

DAMN!! While I don't think stages are "spoilerish", I am disappointed that the Kombat Tomb was nowhere to be found.... That really does suck.
...oh well, I'll get over it.

Eh, I kinda hoped the Tower/Monastery would maintain it's bright colorful look. I don't like that they toned down the rich blue and red. Armageddon nailed the stage so beautifully in that department (and added a nice stairs-element if I may say so).
Nonetheless, it's still my favorite stage, and I will use it and it alone. This game might as well not even have other stages.
Someone call me?

My point exactly.
It's called the "flesh pits"... but it looks far more like its second name of "the lab". If "the lab" was its default name, I wouldn't have such an issue.
But from what we saw in Mileena's vignette, it seemed a lot more earthy and gooey. A hellish sort of place, as opposed to creepy dracula/frankenstein-esque lab.
I do like it for what it is, but I think it's idea could've been done better. I'll reserve judgement til we've seen it in action, but I think it seems very... focused... on everything in the centre. There's the tubes and the table and then what..... the background just goes on into a big cavernous empty room? :S doesn't seem right to me

The Flesh Pits looks way different then I pictured I expected a Lord of the Rings urak-hai firery mud hole with people rising out of slimy mud with the Soulnado in the background souls flying out and into the bodies. Lots of groning and screaming. I hope there is more to it. Everything is in the center.
I can honestly say that I'm just as excited for the arenas as I am for the fighters.

They all look beautiful.
Does anyone else hope that there are more arenas available?
I still can't image Tsung's Garden (as beautiful as it is) as the new "Warrior Shrine".
That arena was so epic back in the classic days that its a shame its been (assuming its the same one) changed so drastically or even just ignored for this game.

If you guys look at the Flesh Pits stage, I'm betting there is some kind of Hellraiser/Pinhead Stage Fatality in it somehow, where hooked chains just come out of the dark puncturing and gripping limbs, it's a possibility, I always thought that would be so cool for the Dead Pool since MK2.

P.S. MvC3 can suck it! How many stages were there? 6? 8?

Yea there were not many at all in MVC 3, and the training stage does not count cuz the only time you fight there is in VS, training mode, or Missions
