So I was reading up on Kenshi because, as we all know, he will be one of the three DLC characters made available when or shortly after Mortal Kombat comes out. We all know him as the blind ninja/samurai with telekinetic powers, but I forgot where he got them.

Then I read about how he saved Ermac from Shao Kahn's control; the red ninja was so grateful that he taught these moves to Kenshi.

So here's my question: if someone else saved Ermac because of the change on Mortal Kombat's history, who would you want it to be? I would want either Stryker or some guy like Jarek or Kai, who's fairly small and don't have their own good powers anyway. OR consider this: what if Kenshi ended up saving another person from Shao Kahn and they taught him their special moves?

So in short, who would you like Kenshi to get the powers of if not Ermac and who would you want to get Ermac's powers?

From what I know, Kenshi HAD the power, just didn't know how to use it, so Ermac couldn't teach just anyone.

Hmm... but even if that's the case, and they don't change that he saves Ermac and gets powers from him, would that mean that Kenshi won't have powers in this game?

Here's what I found on the Kenshi page of mortalkombat/wikia/com: (Kenshi's) chance at exacting his revenge came when he was assigned to find the lost Cyrax, another agent of the Special Forces, in Outworld. In his travels across Outworld, he encountered the enigmatic Ermac, and, in a moment of pity, broke the mind control that Shao Kahn had over him. In gratitude, Ermac awakened Kenshi's latent telekinetic power, and taught him not only how to use it effectively in combat, but how to 'sense' the presence of people and objects around him.

So does this mean that Kenshi must already have this training? If not, how could he fight blind? The odd part is that this happens during the Deadly Alliance storyline, not MK 1-3. So that means Kenshi's just DLC because people like him, and that he won't be in the canon storyline until the next game (which'll probably cover everything up to Onaga arriving, because the plot for MK:4 is fairly quick).

I don't think Kenshi is going to be in the story. He's just a bonus kharacter because people like him and want him.

Well he can be easily canon.

1. The story has changed so maybe he will interact with Ermac earlier
2. Or he won't have telekinetic moves in this one (or just one basic move) and his specials will be swords attack

This is how I understand Kenshi's powers working:

Kenshi already know telekinesis, taught to him through his ancestors that are in his sword. Ermac merely taught him some more advanced techniques, taught him how to fully control it and such, as a payment for Kenshi freeing Ermac from Kahn's control.
