That was my first thought too... but I think it could be Lui Kang's fatality because you could see Kung Lao's fatality and the background was also bright and not dark. I just hope we saw Lui Kang's fatality there.... I just hope for more magic and less dismembering

I'm just messing with you. I understand we will have mainstays but it'd be nice to have a little better rotation, and yes even if that does mean not having Sub-Zero and Scorpion in every game.

Despite this, I am ok with this roster. I will also say that with the general story plot of this game you would think they really have the option to have a trilogy/armageddon like cast since time travel is in play.

We are getting a new mortal kombat game. Why b tch and moan about characters being a waste of roster space. I am really hyped for this game. I am even hyped after i found out my favorite character is going to die in the first chapter.

Sure but I don't see many people going over that line here. Sure it happens from time to time when tempers get flared. Some times people just gotta vent their frustrations and where better to do it than a place that is solely focused on your passion surrounded by people who share it. But more often than not I see most people being reasonably constructive.

Ungrateful? Has nothing to do with gratitude. We all have preferences as to how we would like a MK game. Not sure how one post voicing an opinion constitutes as bitching and moaning. Not everybody is going to be pleased with everything in this game and it’s okay to voice that. I’m hyped for this game too but there’s certain things I could do without that’s all.

You can still criticize something while also having gratitude that a game is being made. Of course I'm happy that my favorite game series of all time is getting another release. No, I don't think rap music fits well with Mortal Kombat.

This seriously one of the best trailers, blown away by the production values. Everyone looks great, this game is going to be a ride!

Kitana is starting to look like DLC unless she is the final reveal, which would be lame with the kollector (the sub boss possibly) and Cetrion still having no reveal yet. With them out, the leak of shinnok and mileena aren't credible but that also leaves a slot open for rain. We will most likely get the entire roster reveal when the beta comes out minus the kombat pack 1

Or if the younger version dies then the older version dies as well. I would not be suprised if that is how at least one character gets bumped off. Probably Kano.

So with this trailer, the only characters left to be revealed are Frost, Kollector, and Cetrion.

I take it these three will not be revealed until a couple weeks before launch.

Multiple images but zero gameplay still has me concerned that Kitana is just an NPC, lol. I need her reveal. She's my #2 character is the series despite both NRS and alot of people on this forum focusing WAY to much on the "princess" and apparently forgetting her kunoichi assassin-warrior aspects. People hear princess and immediately think she's some prissy delicate European trophy bimbo. They forget she's a warrior princess raised in a place filled with Tarkatans, Shokan, other monsters and their Emperor is Shao F'n Kahn. She needs to be a sexy badass again and not a helpless damsel in distress.
