Baraka stole the show in my eyes. Great Fatality that looked like a throwback to his Fatality in MK9, Took Goro's punchwalk for himself and has a nice Armored Flag Charge to fight zoners.

Jade was there too I guess

Jade looks freaking fantastic. She’s pretty much exactly how I wanted to see her. I actually really dislike revenant forms of characters, but her revenant form looks very cool.

Baraka and Tyler’s Sonya were more exciting than Jade. Just not feeling her gameplay. She looks terribly slow.

Any hints at who’s the next reveal? Kano?

Jade looks great- took a while for her new look to sink in, but I really like it- I like them all!

Glad to see she still has her darker skin in her unmasked look. Right now she's looking to be my favorite character in the game thus far, Skarlet is a VERY close second and Sonya a third.

NRS is killing it with the females this time around.

A lack of ninjas won't kill anyone. Still, I'm sure some of them will make it even as DLC

I REALLY wish people would stop calling them ninjas. We're way past that now, come on.

Me too, I mean Scorpion is technically the only one who IS a ninja in the traditional sense. I just call them all Badass Asskickers.

Okay, I do not like the brown in her costumes. I especially don’t like that brown hooded costume that looks pretty much exactly like Skarlet’s costume. Other than that though, Jade looks great, I’m excited to see what her story is.

Should flow a bit better now that she's mastered her inner Kilik. Moveset looks slikk, love the ground skrape projektile.

While it didn't look bad, I too thought it looked way too similar to Skarlet's very similar costume.

Best part about the character design inthis game is that seeing something that doesn’t impress isn’t really the end of the world because there’s likely something right around the corner that will or some option you can adjust to your liking.

My first reaction to Jade was that I loved her revenant look, which surprised me given that I haven’t liked any of those looks in MK9 or MKX. But her glaive moves and her zoning, I mean, i saw the utility of it, but I wasn’t that excited.

Then I saw her parry, and her run, and her pole vault, and her pole vault throw, and her staff variation, and so on... They’ve just crammed so much in here that it’s virtually impossible not to find some stuff that you could cobble together to make a character you’d enjoy using. Absolutely love that.

I also dug her human form and the scarf look, though I also don’t get why they went with brown as the default. It honestly makes her look naked lol. Still, I’m sure the color is customizable and like any “ninja” character, I’m sure she’ll have a ton of options beyond the limited amount we saw today.

I’ve always liked Jade. Maybe it’s because she was a hidden character originally, so she has a certain kind of aura around her, but I still see potential in her to be more story-wise, and I think they’ll do right by her in every other aspect. I’m happy she’s back, and I love the way the roster is shaping up so far.

As for my boy Baraka, I really enjoyed what I saw from him today. Lots of Blade stuff, double amplifying chop chop, more stuff to do with the flag, and it still doesn’t seem like we’ve seen everything from him just yet. Very happy Baraka fan here!
