As for Onaga, No thanks. I think Onaga is trash not worth revisiting like a lot of 3D era characters (Li Mei, Fujin, Reiko, Taven and Daegon...ugh Blaze).

You can send Reptile away while having Kotal Kahn and his allies...or one ally named Erron Black feature in the story. You can canonize his MKX ending, having him leave Kotal to reunite with his kind in Earthrealm. You can use Ferra/Torr's ending and Ermac's ending to explain their absence as well.

Assuming Terminator does somehow end up in this game, which version would y'all want? Much as I like Arnold, I think I would prefer the T-1000.

I would think (given the game's nature, and... goretech) Arnold would be the character, and the T-800 would be the skeleton.

I can't see how T-1000 would ever work in a game that lets you dismember your opponent. What are we going to do, cut him in half with no gore whatsoever, and then watch as he just smushes back together unphased. Nevermind the fact T-1000 doesn't bring 1/10th the celebrity notoriety. Don't get me wrong, I think he could bring some cool moves to the table kombat wise, but he doesn't work at all for things like fatalities and krushing blows.

This...is a strange roster. Makes me really, really interested in what they are planning for DLC. Really stoked about Frost though for sure. I like her as a pick.

Cet, Ter, and Col would all be new; not sure if I would have chosen to create that many newcomers for this game (I would have taken out one and replaced it with Cyrax). But I can't actually judge until I see them. I just hope that "Ter" isn't a terminator guest character or something stupid like that.

So that pretty much gives us the entire roster save for one or two slots. I'm thinking these might be for secret unlockable characters, and I'm really hoping one of them is Shang Tsung. I'm somewhat suprised to see Jacqui Briggs in and no mention of Takeda or Kung Jin; but I guess Jacqui is a character that need most fleshing out, and plus I think she's the only African American character on the roster. Overall I'm happy with the list. I never really cared for Sindel or Rain, and I know there is a vocal outcry for Fujin but I'm kind of indifferent to him personally (I do hope he gets in somehow to please my fellow fans though).

This is shaping up to be a bit of different roster if this new round of leaks is credible. Still no sign of my mains and two of the most missed and highly requested characters Noob and Smoke though, come on NRS and Boon don’t let the fan base down again on these two not being included!!!

Note; I have seen the noob icon on the towers snippet but know better than to get my hopes up about his inclusion yet

Roster is not final...it’s a fine roster, solid. Rain is in, Shang Tsung, Jax, Johnny and Noob are also in but main or DLC is up in the air.

I'm not going to speak on DLC, because DLC is a crapshoot where anything can happen. The following are purely my thoughts on the main roster...

Johnny is likely in, on that I don't disagree. The blurry screencap leak was fairly convincing and appeared to be a shot of his fatality.

There are in all likelihood 2 mystery slots on the main roster remaining at best, (1 slot if Kahn counts as one of the 25) and I have high hopes for Noob to be one of them, that said, I'm not 100%. High hopes, but not 100%. Because anything can happen, really.

I'm very doubtful of Shang Tsung at this point, as I've touched on in a couple threads already. I'd say he still COULD be in... but my gut is telling me they're more likely to save him for a more significant return down the road, and allow Kronika more room to shine without other villains stealing her spotlight (which Shao Kahn may already be doing to some extent). BUT AGAIN, anything can happen, so I haven't written him off completely. (PS. I know I said I wasn't speaking on DLC, but Shang is the one character I also don't see being DLC. DLC characters don't get a lot of story love, and I think when they bring him back, it will be with lots of story love.)

I don't think Jax is in at all at this point, and I haven't for quite a while. And the addition of Jacqui just makes me more confident about it. I think he has a glimmer of a chance as DLC, but still don't feel strongly about it.

I've said it many times, in many threads across this forum that I think people are grasping at straws for Rain. I've seen no STRONG evidence to suggest he's in, and dumpsterloads of baseless speculation (including, "He'll definitely be in because Prince died!" ... like that's an infallible argument). The best piece of evidence we have is that menu art of the back of a guy's head that looks like Rain. Which to ME... while a mild stroke in his favor, isn't conclusive. Much like Reptile, I think his bubble being a tower modifier says more to de-confirm him than to confirm him. But I've had this argument with people on this forum before, and frankly I'm tired of it. At this point I'm just writing it off to lets wait and see who gets to do the 'I told you so' dance in a couple months. (And if he's not in, you can expect me to do the I told you so dance)

Dude what are you talking about? There's no confirmation of any of those characters and this leak seems accidental and therefore legit. There's barely any space left. Who knows what the remaining slots will be.

You can just put barakall's quote in your signiture, do not need to make a mental note. I agree with you for the most part. I am leaning towards Rain and Jax not being playable. I think Shang Tsung has a slightly better chance but at ths point it is very slim.

As I said earlier, I haven't COMPLETELY written off Tsung, but with so little space left on the roster, I'm feeling less and less confident about it. If he is in, I think they're trying to keep it a hardline secret for a big reveal in story mode, but again, my gut is telling me they won't want to do that, because it could steal a lot of Kronika's thunder, and they'll want to make the new villain look cool.

I have no faith in Rain or Jax being on the main roster whatsoever at this point. Jax will probably have story mode presence though, and whatever way they choose to write him out will likely build up Jacqui's plot motivation for the game. Which again, is why I'd give him a glimmer of a chance for DLC (as I said)

Didn't a developer inadvertently confirm Rain when referencing that Rain and Skarlet were two of the most requested characters to return?

at this point anyone can be in or out of the game

even with these leaks if nrs wanted them to be out they would want them out, how do we know they don't have someone just editing the achievements to make them real we don't know just cause it's on a steam page and it looks legit does not mean they are not trying to mess with people

or it could absolutely right so saying Rain is not in but your upset Jacqui is does not mean he won't be there in some way and if Ed is not lying he will not make dlc people dlc again, i for one just waiting for their full images to appear those are the leaks i want waiting around for kombat kast are forever and i have no patients to wait, i remember when mkx was leaking and revealing so many characters their roster for the most part was done, i just want to see the returning people and you can spend your time on the new characters if they will add more then Geras and Kronika

That'd be false if they're going off that twitter poll, Noob and Jade were first. Skarlet and Rain were second, Baraka and Sindel were third and Kabal and Sheeva were last.
