Legendary star of screen and stage Keith David has confirmed he will be provide the voice of Spawn when the comic book anti-hero comes to Mortal Kombat 11 in 2020!
David has had a long and illustrious career, starring in films such as The Thing, Platoon, They Live, and Pitch Black, as well as lending his commanding voice to characters in Adventure Time, Rick and Morty, and the Mass Effect and Saints Row game series.
He was the voice of Al Simmons (aka; Spawn) for three seasons of the critically acclaimed HBO animated series: Todd McFarlane's Spawn. His performance helped the adult animation earn an Emmy nomination for its third season, in 1999. Fans have welcomed the news of his return to the role on Twitter, where the actor made the announcement.

Spawn was announced as a guest character in June, and formally revealed with the recent Kombat Pack trailer and character render artwork. Creator Todd McFarlane praised the video game interpretation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, having talked up the possbiility of a crossover for several years. Fellow guest character Terminator T-800 is reported to only bare the likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger, without his iconic voice.
