Cetrion looks good but my hype for her is massively tainted by them sneaking out the news they could be adding microtrasactions to the game via selling special moves as "DLC".

The new GI issue is out, I just bought it. Mainly it's all about the game mechanics, variations, kustomizations, etc., but it has a few interesting details on Cetrion, for example.

I could absolutely see that rumor about her being an Elder God & Shinnok's sister representing life (where he represented Death) being true. Don't know that I necessarily believe the part about Kronika being their mom though, but who knows.

That said, while I could absolutely see it being true, I could also absolutely see it being BS. That's the funny thing about rumors, lol.

I don't know. She reminds me of a superhero more than an MK character. That fatality was a straight up Injustice super move. I'm not too keen on her for now.

As I do not have said issue in front of me, I'm not following what you're suggesting. Do we have some reason to believe it contains answers to the questions I just addressed?

Injustice 3 is looking great. Are they revealing any Mortal Kombat characters this week?

Doesn't everyone in MK11?

She looks badass and fun to play as. I think saying she isn't like an MK character is odd. She is a benevolent elder goddess, so her whole Mother Earth aesthetic and powers makes sense. Elder gods have been a known part of this franchise for over 20 years. I fail to see how she doesn't fit as a character.

Something about her design and moveset is too akin to Injustice for me. She feels like guest DLC. I will await to see her other appearances (skins) before griping further. I don't hate her, I am just a bit underwhelmed and confounded. Maybe a Kombat Kast with her will help. But, at least she is not another Special Forces soldier -- that's a plus. And, contrary to the Beran debate, Cetrion clearly is a female -- another plus :)

She is gorgeous. And I was right at that point in the story trailer. She was the one talking to Raiden. It seems like she hasn't lost her powers as an Elder Goddess and something tells me that the new protagonist in MK11 is Cetrion. Well only a few weeks to find out :)

GameInformer confirms that Cetrion is Kronika's daughter and Shinnok is her brother.

Creating her variations looks like it will be fun. One for each element.

I don't really like her fatality, though. It's the epitome of overkill, and a bit too reminiscent of Injustice.

when i heard she was some nature goddess or demi-goddess i liked the idea. now after seeing the trailer, she's totaly out of place and it seems like she belongs to superhero DC comics and right for next Injustice game, and it seems im not the only one thinking about the same. her moves are nice, but i think Rain, Tremor, Fujin should be better then her, all three than this one strange kharacter. i have no doubts she will be fun to play, but she not belong to MK universe in my opinion.

Alright, so if that's confirmed, my obvious next question is, which leak did that information come from? Because I know one of the leakers mentioned this exact familial connection months ago... and I almost think it was the same guy who named Mileena & Shinnok as secret characters (though I'm honestly not sure it was... hence my question at hand.)

Point being: Who was the guy that said that 2 months ago, and what else did he say? Because now his information seemingly has a bit more credibility to it.

I loved this trailer. I for one can not wait to play as Cetrion. She could possibly be one of my new maines.
