Hot on the heels of a first-look preview of characters appearing in this year's Mortal Kombat II movie -- NetherRealm Studios has unveiled four MK2 movie skins coming to Mortal Kombat 1 later this year. The downloadable attire includes a new movie-inspired design for Scorpion. Take a closer look at official render art:

As announced in the EW exclusive preview; there are also tie-in skins for Johnny Cage, Kitana and Shao Kahn. The costume skins add new outfits to characters debuting in the film sequel, but unlike MK11's Klassic Movie Skins - will not carry the likeness of actors playing the respective roles. This is in keeping with MK1's skins inspired by the klassic 1995 movie.

The game's character art reveals more of what to expect from Shao Kahn, whose photo preview only revealed a shiny new full-face mask & helmet in shadow. The image demonstrates flesh-toned scales down his arms and torso sides, similar to design updates introduced in Mortal Kombat 11.

"Washed up" Hollywood actor Johnny Cage keeps it humble with the weathered brown leather jacket, plain tee, and sunglasses previously highlighted in a mock "Uncaged Fury" film poster, while Kitana offers lightly armored collar and shoulder piece with a decorative blue & silver bodice.
