It's been a long wait, but the next Kameo Fighter coming to Mortal Kombat 1 is almost upon us! In two weeks Janet Cage will walk a blood red carpet into her playable premiere with retro references and a multiversal twist that will enhance the cagiest of play styles. NetherRealm Studios Chief Creative Officer Ed Boon delivered the news, confirming a March 27th release date for Janet Cage -- two weeks from posting.

The gender-swapped Cage from another timeline already demonstrated moves that can't be faked in last month's Peacemaker gameplay trailer. She crosses over from one of the alternate timelines featured at the end of Mortal Kombat 1's story to join recent add-on kameo fighters Tremor and Khameleon. The first wave of DLC still has Mavado and Ferra assist characters to come.
