Well.. uhm.. I am not sure what to think about it. First of all I love the backgrounds.. they are insane. But I really don't like how the fighters look a like. They are to small and the effects reminding me of a cartoonish mobile game :/ But Kenshi is there and... hell I am not that hyped I thought I would be :(

I'm also not as hyped as I thought I would be. Hopefully that will change.

Hate to feel the same way but seems like the same sluggish deliberate pace as MK 11 rather than the blistering pace of X so that's a huge minus for me. The characters looked absolutely generic and I absolutely HATE the kameo fighters jumping in and out of the action. This is MK not Marvel Vs Capcom, it seems MK is losing it's identity in it's desire to appeal to the fighting game community.. Also SO disappointed to see the scenes from story mode as I thought FOR SURE they were doing a conquest mode instead this time around especially since SF6 just did it with World Tour mode. WIsh I was more hyped but after the boring character designs and lack of combo opportunities in 11 I think this will be more of the same :(

Nice to see the Wu Shi Academy back. Also, haven't seen splendid Edenia since Deception's Konquest, iirc.

I was impressed by just about everything in the reveal today, but most of all I'm just so pumped to have Kenshi back as a playable character. I've never been this excited to play him before!

Is that's all kameo fighters are going to be? A glorified modifier? If that's the case then I hope there's an option to have them disabled.

Well I am disappointed, again with the story mode,.. I mean wy ? They have been doing that since MK vs DC. I would love a renovation of a conquest mode or Shoalin Monks, or better something brand new.

They have said,. New this, new that but there is nothing new about this game, X-Ray again ?. I have been buying every single MK game since Mortal Kombat. But this is the first one I am really disappointed about. Further more it has a very strong Injustice feeling. It feels like they where developing an Injustice game and switches to MK.

Come on Netherrealm you can do a lot lot better.

After playing Street Fighter 6' World Tour, MK1' story mode had gotta be damn good to top it, and unfortunately I doubt it will.

Still, I'm super pumped nonetheless. Awesome to see Kenshi back and new Raiden looks cool.

Loved the look of the backgrounds of the game. They look oddly enough far superior to the fighters. the fighters still look like they are clayish looking.

As far as the Kameo fighters I too am not impressed I cannot play as a Kameo-Only fighter as some of us have suspected. It would suck if I saw my favorite fighter stuck being a Kameo Only fighter. With seeing the old Spine Rip in the trailer it makes me wonder if the playable Sub-Zero has it, or is there a new "ALITY" where the Kameo-Only fighters have like a Kameoality that only they can do? Saw Kano's heart rip too in the trailer.

Story mode looks the same so far. There doesn't seem to be anything new there. It looks as if they took MK11, stripped away the customization and went back to MKX like game with the new Kameo fighters being the new addition this year. I am not a big fan of games like this and I too hope we can eventually turn them off if they get too annoying as I suspect they will.

I also dont get that NEW feeling and expected a far more primitive MK, (its almost a refurbished MK - it looks new, but it isnt)

And yes that Injustice-feeling...its realy annoying!

MK11 had so much potential but they completely f*cked it up, and with MK1 I dont believe they are gonna do it right (again)

Really? I think this game moves faster than MK11, which I agree was sluggish and boring to watch.

Yep, overall graphics didn't exactly improve, and while the backgrounds look more advanced, they also look way more cluttered.

Also, is Johnny Cage flipping off going to be his signature from now on?

Another thing I just couldn't get off my head, while I like Kitana & Mileena designs, why they still fight with high heels?? I hoped MK11 fixed that, but instead they keep it... after removing them from Sonya Blade and giving her combat boots.

Ok ok.. after I saw a lot of new gameplay vids I am way more hyped than before. First I thought the fighter would be to small and then I played MK11 and was surprised to see that they has the same size there. The only difference is when the fighter stand near together the camera zooms in. This doesn't occur in MK1 because of the air juggle option, I think.

What I love are two important changes:

1. they focussed on more combo possibilities and give you a lot choices to start, continue and end a combo. Really awesome and a huge step in the right direction.

2. the kameos are an extremly interesting trademark for the game. They have their own part for the fatal blows, their own fatality, their own throw and moves to link up into combos. Really, really nice.

So my hopes are high we can see many beloved characters back in the game at least as kameos. I know we all want our favorites back in the game as a real choosable character, but Kameos as an option give me a little solace to see my favorites (for example one of my favorite is Sektor but I don't think he will be in the roster.. so I hope he comes at least as a kameo), even if they are only an assist.

Some good things I mentioned are the return of the brutalities and every kameo has one klassic fatality. And what I really appreciate is the fact that they are short and to the point. But I also saw only one fatality for every main fighter, which was a little surprise for me. Maybe they only wanted to show one in the demo and everyone has two to release or it stays like that. But the fatalities I saw right now are insane. I mean literally every fatality gave me chills. The first part rom Kenshi's or the blood spilled out of the mouth from Sub Zero's fatality are just gruesome. Boy I have my fingers crossed that MK1 comes out in germany and won't get indicated. I start praying right now :/

Oh I forgot almost some little things. There is no krypt in MK!. Ed Boon said this in an interview. There should be an other way to collect skins etc. I am some kind of worried... because I hope they don't implement a battle pass or something like that.

And to be honest I have two minor complains. The first is the size of the fighter as I mentioned before. I know why they all have the same size but I think it would be possible to make them more different. the other complain is the intro and outro. I don't like the Idea to see the kameo and the main character in the intro. Same goes for the outro. It would be better to see only the main character there. The only exception are the classic fatalities from the kameo's. But those are really minor complains.

So overall I am very pleased. It looks soooo good! Can't wait to play it for myself. But as a casual I know I have to trained a lot to be able to do some nice combos. I looking forward to it, that's for sure. Have a nice day guys :)
