Hello all.
I Wanted to create a thread for a new MK12 Game. Please feel free to post any Ideas here.
Best fan kreation yet.
I like that idea there can be some sort of item that lets you travel across them

Kamidogu daggers? (Used differently)
Yes and you get them from completing different chapters in story mode? or there is another way to get them?

As long as the story separates itself from MK Deception (which revealed Kamidogus, in an early form). Then there's the comics which showed they're diverse when it comes to their usage.
I kind of want it to go back to basics, like mk9 but with more of the creepy, evil and demonic tone
MK9 Is hands down my favourite MK game
With what i said in mind, MK12 would be a great opportunity to shed some light on The One Being or Onaga because of their connections to The Kamidogu and the route the story is going in. Would be keen to know what Shinnok, Cetrion and Kronika knew about these mystic relics as they're tools of the Elder Gods.
Fuck big badies... No gods... No shit
Bring back the tournament feel, go back to the great Kung lao timeline. Old generation of fighters, original sub zero and scorpion branching out. Human Raiden, fire God Liu Kang running things... Onaga in shape Kahn like form running outworld.
Problem is Cage.... Well bring his Mediterranean ancestor name him Kagos or something greeky and that's solved.
OK so What is the roster?
Best roster, hands down:
Mokap
Taven
Daegon
Meat
Darrius
Dairou
Shujinko
Mavado
Kobra
Kai
Kira
Apep
Wu Lae
Zebron
Anymore would be overkill. Quality over quantity, bros.
No RNG, regular characters from MK1-MK3 + some aditions. No guest characters. Decent story (hire better writers). Graphics never meant to me much so I don't care. And I'd like a quest mode or some other sand-box in MK unicerse (it's big enough to make a stand-alone game like that but then we get back to better writing). Oh, and don't forget Challenge Tower. It was so funny in MK9 (MK 2011).

How and why the hell are we going to have MK1-MK3 characters with MK12 when MK11's story mode left us with a Great Kung Lao cliffhanger? No more stupid time traveling.
Guest characters help draw-in people who might not be interested in MK otherwise.
Quest was never, EVER, a sandbox kind of game. The Krypt should evolve into what Konquest was... leaving the story out of it. On the topic of story, yes, better writers indeed. Time travel needs to fucking END.
Challenge Tower did everything BUT make me laugh. How is it funny?

Just wanted to pop in here and say that this thread has been moved to the Future Games forum, as it is a much better fit there.

You're joking, right? I'm too old to believe that we'll get an MK game without NRS' pet like Scorpion (yeah, because we all remember how well that went when MK3 got released) or Sub-Zero or Rayden. And I'm not saying that I'm not tired with Scorpion but I don't imagine an MK game without him - I simply never use him.
Time-travel is a powerful narrative... if you know how to use it properly. Unfortunately, NRS don't and so we have what we have and I don't see them hiring for a writing position right now. Too bad for us. We'll see the same level of fan-fiction as in previous games. Ah, well...
Guest characters is a matter of perspective. I don't believe that it boosts sales that much but you do. NRS should release two separate packs - one containing only guests and one with regular MK characters and show how good each sold. It's not viable to show that a pack containing guests and regulars sold well if we don't know why someone bought it. There are a lot of people who buy for completion, other buy for regulars and some buy for guests - but we don't know for sure.
I may be wrong but if in a game you go where you want, collect things and fight enemies (and ocassionally collect secrets) and all that pushes the story forward then that for me is a sand-box game. So I think that Shujinko mode in Deception is a sand-box. If it isn't - fine. It can be called otherwise - I'd just like that kind of mode in a future MK game. No one has to agree with me.
And oh, come on. Throwing grenades into a bucket that is moving on its own is funny! I remember the first time playing that I could not hold the pad properly out of laughter. And then I lost and then I laughed some more out of the ludicrousity of it all.
PS. At least I think we agree on the no-RNG part and that's a good thing. ;)
On the topic of the story We should discuss that.
It is an important factor of the MK games.
here is What I think.
1. The chapter system. Should it stay?
2.The characters. Should you be able to play NPC's that are not in the roster?
3.The plot. Possibly the most important factor.
Here is what I am thinking for the roster.
33 base characters
1 pre order bonus
12 DLC characters
4 Extra Characters if you buy the komplete edition
50 characters total
Here Is my story Idea.
Kronika is dead, Liu Kang now has Raiden ́s power and has been tasked by the latter to create a new timeline, together with Kitana. Raiden is now a mortal; and Liu Kang promises to create a new world to his image, hopefully a little more peaceful now.
As soon as Raiden reaches the earth, he notices things arent what they used to be. Raiden would be the main character in this game, as he would be the only one to remember what happened in the last timeline (apparently). Sonya Blade is dead, Jax has gone rogue, while Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn and Kotal Kahn are at war over the control of Outworld. Sindel used this opportunity to escape after her husband was killed and instead ended up with Barraka, giving birth to Mileena.
Meanwhile, Kollector, is using a magic artifact in order to absorb the energy from the chaos of this war; but this conflict is at an stalemate, so he is moving the strings to make this war leak into Earthrealm as well, to create even more death and destruction. It seems the Kollector, just as Raiden, knows more than he leads on.

You could still blend the entire feel of old MK with new MK (which hasn't been done for a while) for a fresh experience, like the MK1/MK2 'tournament feel' you speak of, for one.
For a new character I was thinking liu kang and kitanas child.
what do you think?
Their child? Why? Why do we need more children in MK? The whole point of time travel is to have a reason to include fan favorites over and over and over and over and over again. We don't need to grow a family tree.
No new story just please make a faithful adaption of MK1 through 4. This is their chance to finally portray the original trilogy as it deserves to be. I want Liu Kang as the hero and a proper exploration of his and Kitana's love story. Kitana's backstory really explored as well as her complicated relationship with Mileena (who should've been around for a few hundred years at the start of MK2). I really want to see how they would do Liu vs Shao Kahn in MK3. Also they can stick to Kai in MK4 as Liu's successor since I believe Raiden, Sub Zero, and Scorpion, and Kai should be the focus of MK4. Then Liu Kang and Kitana get married at the end of MK4 or at the very least engaged. That is all I ask.

Oh yes, more of the same.......... that definitely didn't get old with MK9.
