I'm not too hot on the idea of Shang being bald. I like him with long hair. However, I'll have to see what the design actually looks like before judging. I'm just happy that he is most likely in MKX. I was hoping for the entire MK1 cast to return ever since they announced Goro as a pre-order bonus.

lol You do realize that's what green screen body suits are for, right?

Nope because I don't know anything about that kind of stuff. Edit: I watched that demo reel of her and she is short enough, lol. She only gotta be about 4 feet 5".

Funny you say that because Conquest to me screams late 90s cheese and has not held up well at all. Shot mostly on a soundstage (and its incredibly noticeable) and in the woods in the middle of nowhere with terrible CGI. Also, the Kahn get-up is still to this day one of the worst MK live action costumes I've ever seen. Don't know what they were thinking.
Without Tancharoen, whether you like him or not, we would NOT have a live action MK no matter what anyone says here. That's a fact. Also, not to get too into it, but Rebirth is simply an artist taking creative, artistic liberties. It was his OWN vision of how he wanted to see the franchise. If it's not your cup of tea, fine, but at least he had the balls to go out and make it and fund it himself despite the hate and bad taste live action MK had left in peoples mouths.
Could it have been miles better? Sure. Could it have been more faithful? Totally. Just because it was a different take on a beloved franchise does that automatically damn it to Hell? Absolutely not.

Kevin Tancharoen is the worst thing that happened to Mortal Kombat after Mokap!
The moment when I was most shocked by ignorance was when many fans (pseudofans) cheered the Rebirth garbage and atrocity.
Luckily, the NRS team didn't let this wannabe director ruin the MK mythos.
Guys, Legacy isn't even worth mentioning, let alone watching. It's just a nail in my shoe. MK Conquest had lousy fights and it was shot 20 years ago, but tit's still miles better. The comic is so far a billion times better than any Legacy ep.

You know, Legacy gets shit on too much around these parts. If you don't like the decisions that were made, that's one thing. However, NOBODY wanted to touch Mortal Kombat as a live action property. Literally, NOBODY. It was dead in the water. The stench from Annihilation was still lingering.
Kevin Tancharoen changed that. He made people interested in a live action MK again. His budget was extremely low and he could only achieve so much, thus making the two seasons glorified fan films basically yet what he did achieve far outweighs visual effects and costumes; he made people INTERESTED in live action MK again. For that we should be grateful.

Sorry, man, don't want to be rude, but now I'm sure that you are confused as you're not talking about the MK Conquest series I know.
Shao Kahn's costume was NOT bad. His whole appearance and part in the story were just amazing and menacing.
Compare his costume and mask with those of the worst actor in history from Annihilation or that stupid cameo in the Kitana and Mileena Legacy season 1 episode where he was unmasked leading a horde of goblins from Middle Earth and attacking a poor medieval village that's supposed to be Edenia.
If you find just one other user on this forum that agrees with you that Shao Kahn looked bad in Mortal Kombat Conquest, I'll write in capital letters that you're right

Oh I'm not confused at all. I'm referring to the bald headed, cheap Halloween mask portrayal by Jeff Meek with the black, Batman-ish make-up around his eyes. Granted I never said I was knocking his acting, he barked orders way better than Brian Thompson, but his costume looked like something I could buy at the mall for cheap in October.
Say what you will about Annihilation but at least they got Kahn's mask relatively right, even though the actor isn't very physically imposing.

I think the funniest thing here is the Tournament Ref. Because no Deathmatch is complete without some sort of officiating.

Web series tie-in for MKX. Movie as far as I can tell is back in development hell.

A quick search revealed Jade Quon is 4'11" so yeah, she's small enough.
I wasn't happy with the casting of Kitana and Mileena, but damn did Legacy do an awesome job with their backstory. It's pretty much classic MK2-MK3 Kitana and Mileena's story. The story we should have gotten in MK9 instead of that ridiculous retcon.

This guy ruined Sonya and replaced Matt Mullins with CVD...yurusenai!!!
That among many other things, of course. (drunktard LK?)
The fight between Kitana and Mileena in S2 was probably the only thing I enjoyed.
