Since in Mk 2011 he was already in reptile form maybe now he is evolving into humanoid reptile a more smarter talkative version.

Looks Reptile-ish I suppose but I'm not crazy about this look. I don't really want Reptile to look completely human again. To me that somehow feels like a step backward. If he IS in the game though I'll reserve final judgement until I actually get to see him IN the game, not going off of this comic book illustration.

It's Smoke. That's my story and Im sticking to it That also would explain the cloud underneath. Regardless of wether or not it is him, I think it would be a great look for him.

I actually dig the design, myself. Wouldn't mind seeing it as an alternate or something. I think he needs something a little more.....fierce and dangerous looking as his primary if he indeed makes the cut (which I think he will).

I still believe that this ninja is miscolored on purpose. Take a closer look at his collar bone area. That looks like it was supposed to be fabric, that somehow became flesh-colored.

This would by far be my favorite costume design for reptile.. ever

Reptile was basically confirmed to be the ninja standing behind Kotal Kahn, meaning he could be a potential ally, and based on the info for issue #3 of Mortal Kombat, I would be worried for Reptile's chances to make it into the game:

"Then, in issue #3, as the civil war in Outworld rages on, Kotal Kahn suffers an unimaginable loss and enlists the power of the Kamidogu to avenge his fallen ally. But will blood magic make Kotal powerful enough to take down Outworld’s champion? Enter: Goro!"

According to Kittelsen, it could also be Chameleon, and I don't think anyone would mind if he was trashed. Let's not freak out just yet.

I don't think Kotal losing Reptile would be an unimaginable loss for him unless they have secretly been best friends all these years and we just didn't know about it lol

I don't think so. I'd say he's an ally, not a servant. Kotal seems like the kind of guy who would treat his underlings with respect. He doesn't even really greet D'Vorah with hostility in the intros, and she betrays him in some way.

I'm betting with the power of the Kamidogu, Kotal intends to restore Reptile's race for his allegiance.

Which would be mind blowingly awesome.

This could be a whole new ballgame for Reptile.

He'll be the same Reptile we've seen for 20+ years, only with a new boss imo. But we'll see.

Salazar has the least chances of being the one to die, given that he's going to be in the webseries. If he shows up in both, then he's obviously going to be playable and it wouldn't make sense to off him here.

I seriously hope that they don't decide to make Reptile yet again the emperor's bitch. They totally fucked Reptile up in MK9 storywise and he's in some serious need of redemption. Please, give him some character development.

My favorite Reptile still remains the one in MK4 - awesome design (at least from the waist up), the best fatality in the game (Face Eater), and the best ending in MK4 where he had a goal and showed some balls, even though he lost his head because of it.

None taken. I also hope i'm wrong because his playstyle deserves better, but the team has had a hard time developing MK1-2 characters for 10-15-20 years now so i am not sure about Reptile getting character development.
