The Ninja in the comic *SPOILER*

Warning: Spoilers below....

I saw a couple comments here and there about the WHITE ninja hanging out with KotaL Kahn, but I think he deserves his own thread for the moment.

For those of you who don't know... The print version of MKX#1 came out wednesday. The last page shows Raiden having a vision of things to come. Some unconfirmed characters are present- Reiko, Mileena, Fujin, Jax, + a black female training with Jax (Daughter or Wife?).

This vision also shows Kotal with a ninja at his side. This ninja has caucasian skin, a white mask, and is bare-chested except for some straps and a white sash. Very mysterious!

Could this be a NEW ninja? I'm not sure, but i doubt it. I personally believe that NRS told the colorist to purposefully leave this character "blank" for the time being. You know how they love to fuel our hype and speculations.

Shawn Kittelsen denied that it was SMOKE on twitter. I honestly believe he is Reptile. The mask looks super similar to Reptile's MK9 mask. Also, he looks to be guarding the new Outworld Boss. Isnt that Reptile's thang!? LoL. The outfit isn't adorned enuff to be Rain. My gut tells me its definitely not Ermac or Noob Saibot. I would also Imagine that this is way too early to show off Tremor, Khrome, or a New White Ninja... whom would probably all be DLC if created.

What do you guys think?

Eh I dunno about this, I feel like in every interview I've read about the comic creator he talks about how NRS pretty much gave him free reign on what he wanted to do. And it would be such a minor detail to keep censored, I mean just because a character is in the comic in no way guarantees them a spot in the game.

While I totally agree that out of the current existing roster of ninja's Reptile for sure is the best bet, I'm leaning on the white ninja being a totally new character created for the comics.

Good point. I didnt even think about that. This could just be another Forest Fox type of character.

If you look at those eyes tho, thats Reptile man. LoL. Especially the way the mouthpiece is connected to the top of the mask

I thought Kittelsen posted "don't ket the light fool you, it's definitely one of those" in regards to Reptile and Khameleon. That being said, if it's Reptile with that design then I want him in. Finally, the human-esque reptile who can actually DECEIVE other humans. That's what made him dangerous in the first place. I love this design, whoever it is.

From a thumbnail, it looks like Smoke, but up close it definitely looks like a washed-out Reptile. If that's supposed to be Chameleon, then the design is super derivative of Reptile and I'm not really on board with it...

The shape of the head looks very similar to reptiles look. If it is hope hope theirs a good story to him
From the look of the mask, Reptile is going to look very Samurai/Oni. I can't wait for his reveal especially, he's going to look scary.

I wanna change my guess to Chameleon! lol, would prefer it to be Reptile but the chest design just doesn't look like a Reptile type of design to me, too much skin is showing. And the creator of the comic (I keep blanking on his name) seems like he's all about bringing back obscure characters as hench men that get killed off. Like Hsu Hao and from the looks of it Frost (since it looks like shes the one cage fighting Cassie to the death in the Cassie Cage issue). So yeah, who is Chameleon for 500 please!

Hmm seems reptile is going back to the more humanoid look if that is indeed him id highly believe we will see his reptilian form as well due to the 25 year span of the games story mode :D !
