We heard back this morning. Basically dk books wants to do the book, they shot an email to their contacts at wb/nrs but haven't heard anything back yet. They said there is a global acquisition meeting next week where the book will be discussed amongst all branches and they will essentially decide hopefully then.

What I am asking all of you to do, if you can on Twitter, is get anyone from nrs or wb to see the link to our petition. To send it to them via message or tell them that a major publishing company wants to do this book!

I've been working on this thing feverishly since April. I've put in countless hours tracking folks down, sending out this link. We need mk fans to make NRS know.

We had gotten some feedback on twitter and facebook. We haven't heard anything from DK for a while, and this week is the week we're supposed to hear back.

I'm hoping we get some good news. Fingers crossed, guys!

Also - if anyone has any ideas on how to get this petition more boost toward 5000, let me know!

Hey folks,

We promised to keep you updated as much as possible. Things have been slower than usual, but we approach our final goal of 5,000. We are at 4924 now, and we should hit 5000 by early November.

Folks have continued to make vids for us and voice their want toward NRS - which is cool. Shawn has helped us as well with retweets and favorites, but we still have little contact with DK.

We reached out this past week, and our contact is out of office until November, however we did get some word back that the "book is still in discussions." which means they probably got in contact with folks at NRS and are trying to figure things out.

We can only hope and pray at this point, but we have been trying.

What we ask is that you help us with this final push toward 5000. You let NRS know - via email, twitter, facebook that YOU want a Kombatpedia. And post the petition link. The word on the street from folks like John Vogel is that Ed Boon is aware of the petition.

We also called NRS offices directly - and left messages on Brian Goodman's and Ed Boon's voicemails.
