As it approaches the weekend over there, I'm not expecting too many updates. Maybe Max Huang and Lindi Li (Kung Lao & Liu Kang) landing in Australia but nothing "news worthy".

This cast and crew remain very tight-lipped on this film. As far as we know, everything leaked has actually been about 3 months old, minus the plea video by Mehcad and the BTS photo and video from Russo and gang the first few days.

I'm not expecting major publications, like EW, to pick up a story on this until closer to the end (Mid-December). Then I'm not expecting a huge lot of promotion until closer to the end of 2020.

True, I like it - the overnight filming would means secrecy is kept, adds to atmosphere, and probably means that New Line and WB are getting to watch it live to give live feedback. I don't think we'll see anything "exclusive" until the first cut has been ticked off. (although I think there was one photo released of the original movie BEFORE they had to re-film a LARGE part of it.

There was a shit ton released from the original movie during its GamePro/EGM days while it was in prpduction.

Given the fact Coober Pedy is 16 hours driving, about 5 hours flying from Melbourne, I am ruling out this as a location move. In fact, I suspect Coober Pedy will be one of the last locations shot. It's definitely one of the smallest and since they are already in SA it makes sense to move on to Mount Crawford Forest. None of the photos taken from the cast with flowers, etc lok like they were taken in this forest but at a botanical garden.

Welcome to Week 4 of Production! They still appear to be around Adelaide so I cannot say exactly what they are doing. As mentioned before, according to the original news article, they should be moving to Coober Pedy, however, that is actually 500 miles north-west of Adelaide. But with what we know from the people posting (assuming these posts are new and not previous locations):

If they are still on track, Sub-Zero and Jax are not needed and the focus will be on Tan, Namee, and Lawson. And this is assuming they are filming interior sets in Adelaide that take place inside a farmhouse/barn. But again, this is just an assumption, the only location I know is Tan at Adelaide. But he is in this film a lot so he's not the one to gauge. We will have a better idea to where they are at once SiSi Stringer is involved unless things have changed or several locations are going to be CGI.

Pretty much all Lewis Tan today in regards to MK IG story posts, one being a headkick practice video. Mehcad keeps posting about crystals and Taslim is making family posts, so this tells me this production is letting cast members go home until they are needed again (very risky).

It's becoming progressively very frustrating to follow the cast/crew daily with no real updates. They are way too tight-lipped about this and it's obvious now who the main star is, since he posts the most about this movie.

Mehcad is at Crystal Cove in Byron Bay. Definite tourist spot that people love to check out. It's about an hours flight from Adelaide.

Taslim is in Indonesia which is 5 hour flight - it's no different to when US films let cast not needed for a week or so to go back to their families. 5 hours is what - East coast to West coast of the states?

2. To fly from East Coast to West coast is about 4-5 hours, depending on what coast. I believe it was 4 hours from Florida to Texas but 4 for California to Florida. Depends on flight pattern. NASA gets in the way of the commerical flight pattern in Florida as planes sometimes do loopdy-loop routes.

Taslim posted a story to his IG of him sitting on a plane saying back to work and he'd be back before Christmas. So Week 5 of Production will see the return of Sub-Zero.

Again, if they are pretty much going by script order, by location, they will finish at Coober Pedy likely this week and move to the next location. We could finally see SiSi actively posting if so. However, this whole week should have been heavy with posts from Lawson, Namee, and Tan and we pretty much only seen MK related content from Tan.

The 11/18 draft assumes you already know her backstory so they are focusing on her as a badass killer. I can't speak for the latest shooting draft of the script.

Lewis Tan has confirmed he is in flight to Coober Pedy.

Jessica Namee has acknowledge they (Team Mortal Kombat) are in route to Coober Pedy.

Lewis Tan shared some local places of this area, including an underground restaurant.

This means they are still filming in script order, by location. Tan said this is home for a couple of days. I'm suggesting they will be here for a very short time. With the scenes I know it can be filmed in a couple of days. I'd like to think we'd be introduced to a whole new kast member and thus reveal a klassic kharacter from the games returning to this film... but as tight-lipped as they are, my guess is the actor will be a local extra and his scene will have lots of CGI. Again, definitely watch Lewis Tan, Jessica Namee, and Josh Lawson's IGs. Lewis Tan posts the most from anyone as he is the star of this film. We seldom see Jessica post and it's usually once for that week and Josh we cannot officially say because his scenes should be starting now.

Looking at the stunt team's IG videos across the past few weeks - the cannon fodder in this movie is going to be excellent. Pull off some amazing moves.
