For the love of fucking god Michael Jai White is 51, give it up already. If I wanted to watch Geriatric Kombat I'd watch the WWE or AEW. Michael Jai White made plenty of films, one being Blood and Bone and another Full Contact, you can watch. He had his day and was even too old then, as well as Sonya, who was originally 26 in the first MK game.

Michael Jai White is way too old. As much as I love him, I think that a younger guy like Brooks will have much more to give to the role. Plus, the guys looks like a freaking beast from what I can see in the photo.

Id rather go with the current timeline instead of rebooting it over and over and over again, with this tournament nonsense. Its getting boring now. Even Ed Boon said it himself. I wanted a casting that are in there 40's, 50's with Jacqui, Cassie's or new character involvements, with young actors playing as edenians. New villains (Daegon, Havik, Reiko), new storyline (Johnny cage protagonist instead of liu kang) but were going to get the same shit..............again!

In other words, you love story mode and would rather see the movies made into a survival horror / battle royale / war film where they randomly meet enemies along each of their own quests / adventures rather than a bracketed tournament, which is the overall point of the game being made anywhere?

I do find this interesting and with the times, but keep in mind, the tournaments are still a part of the game. When Mortal Kombat was made in the '90s it was inspired by the tournament fighter genre but it appears since games like COD are epic-adventure based, MK should just ignore the tournament concept?

MK, as only an epic saga without a tournament, is just not Mortal Kombat.

And Ed Boon cannot be trusted. He trolls us all the time. He fooled fans into thinking he even wanted the first MK movie but thanks to a recent book about fighting games the movie was its own beast and all he cared about was making MK3.

Id rather a story mode over a tournament from the present timeline (before mk10). The tournament script is too simplistic and too much controversy behind it. They have went with that script many times in the games, animation and movies. It was good back in the day and it was what lighted the candle in first place. Now there melting it by going with a similar dialogue. I could make up a real quick one right now off the top of my head.

Daegon gets revived by a sorcerer named Quan chi. Quan Chi is using him to find a rare power from Argus hidden in a chamber, but Daegon does not know hes being used. Daegon informs his alliance with the red dragon and chaos realm members that there going to rule these realms. Quan chi appears to earthrealm to speak with Raiden. They fight and Raiden wins and shouts what do you want? Then he explains that Daegon is alive and he is planning on conquering the realms with an alliance to stir things up. Raiden teleports to the police station in earthrealm and speaks with stryker on order of tracking down Johnny Cage & other earthrealm champions and explains that he is the only one that has ancestral power to defeat Daegon as Taven is deceased. They need to act quickly before they attack earthrealm......"intro" *Johnny Cage waking up in bed full of women with a hangover "comedic scenes"....movie starts from there...

Is it so hard to make something like that? I'm not saying I'm a professional or a writer, but they could a least do something different with the script to make it a fresh new experience to the franchise.

A saga, 'story mode," could actually work. I mean, look at Zombieland. An apocalyptic adventure film worked there.

What I want to know is, where is Kitana and Reptile? And how much influence did Kasanoff aka Threshold have in this film? They pretty much made Liu Kang, Sonya, and Cage friends; Cage and Sonya lovers; Kang/Kitana lovers. Scorpion/Sub-Zero friends, Raiden a non-fighter, and Kitana as an outworld guide.

No I absolutely hate it in terms of story. It would be nice to have seen what MK would have been if it had stayed on course. Everyone pretty much had one enemy then but they were all fighting the tournament chain to win Mortal Kombat.

Shang Tsung, Goro, and Reptile were friends. Kano wasn't involved like he was in the movie.

Reptile guarded Shang Tsung on his island. Not Shao Kahn in Outworld like the movie.

Kano & Sonya were enemies.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero were enemies, not slaves/friends under Shang's power like in the movies.

Liu Kang hated Shang & Goro.

Cage didn't have any enemies.

Raiden didn't have any enemies.

Of I recall, Shang was using Goro to advance in his life.

Goro was from the ... Shokan realm. I didn't recall this realm being in Outworld.

Just keep it that simple and build on these characters. Hell throw Jax in too but save the other shit like Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, new Kung Lao, Jade, Noob, Smoke, for a sequel.

They could do their own thing with Daegon with an alternative timeline.

If your referring to mk11 i have no idea where kitana is and i assume erron killed reptile.

I like the storyline in mkx and mk11. Yeah there was a fair amount of cock ups, but they put so much personality towards the cast. Jax isnt some dude that holds an American flag and says "wheres sonya".

Of course, I was being very sarcastic.
