Rename him into Hydra and turn him into a playable boss with the ability to regenerate heads to give him some much needed personality. I also want to see Johnny do his decapitation fatality glitch on this character.

As it stands I don't take Hydro seriously because he is the most useless non canon ninja to exist.

Well I just assumed his specials would have to do with hydroelectricity if he were a cyborg (the project hydro prototype, not the comic hydro). That would make him unique in terms of both the cyborgs and ninjas.

What if the new Sub-Zero was actually Sektor, since he's the new Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei what if the Dragon Medallion gives Sektor freezing abilities!

That Sub-Zero render is one hell of a disguise, then, considering Sektor is still a cyborg.

Not really. We don't know anything except for that Sektor was alive at the end of MK9 story-mode. No one knows what could of happened between the time-span. Especially since Sektor has the medallion.

As for Hydro, he can be Rain's replacement. He can have water and electricity powers and be a cyborg. Time for a new one.

He was badass in Legacy and I saw a lot of untapped potential in him. Never really saw what was so great about Rain, tbh.

He was just a blue Cyrax. Nothing he did in Legacy couldn't be done with Cyrax. There was no potential to be had, he was just, as Swing says, a dummy.

Not just you, Swing. Completely agree. Hydro has never been anything else than a random character made to be killed. That's all he is and that is all he's ever going to be.

Yeah but the last time we saw Sektor he was indeed a cyborg but what if during the 25 year time span, the medallion starts freezing his robotic armor causing it to glitch and he has to restore his humanity and after he does that, the medallion turns into a half human, half Cryomancer.

A sad farewell to his classic abilities then. Is Sektor interesting without rockets, teleportation and flamethrowers?

Don't worry, the medallion isn't capable of doing something like that. It enhances one's abilities that you already have, not giving you completely new ones.

That is a relief.

The question: is Sektor interesting with all the aforementioned stuff?

Personally I think cyborgs ninjas was a glorious misstep in MK3.

I know you want MK to be purely a kung fu flick themed game, but I quite like that the MK team expanded the world by putting other elements into the game as well, such as the sci-fi of cyborg ninjas.

Just pick Cyber Sub-Zero and squint while you play.
