I know MK:A was a flop...it was a flop of a flop of a flop......But I do believe that some (A very small some) parts of the movie are redeeming in quality.

So my challenge to you is to find a scene (However long or short it may be) that you like, and post it here.

And dont waste space and other peoples time by saying some crap like "The moment the credits begin to roll." or "Absolutely No Scene Appealed to me." lol.

Personally..Since I'm Biased as F***, I liked Sindel's Entrance. Not the Crappy line she gives ("To bad..... you..... will die.") but the part where Sonya says something and then all you hear is a Shriek off camera, and she walks up the steps. After that point...The scene then goes to hell.

Another Scene I somewhat liked would be the Confrontation between Shao Kahn, Sindel, and Motaro. Im not including the bull**** way in which Jade dies. So that dosnt count.

But starting with the line.....

Shao Kahn: You Will mount a defense around my newest temple.....Prepare for Raiden to make one last attack.

Sindel: You said Raiden was no longer to be Feared....

Shao Kahn: I AM TO BE FEARED.....For if you fail me now....I will feed your rotting corpse TO THE WORMS.

Motaro: Your Hallowed position atop the worm pile appears to be most tenuous.....Now your failure will be my opportunity....

hey, you said the moment they began to roll, but I preferred after they showed the cast.

in truth, I liked the Sub Zero vs. Scorpion fight scene, but Scorpion's multiple harpoons and the "SUCKERS!!!' thing almost ruined it for me

The best fight: Baraka vs Liu Kang

The best scene: When Raiden is about to die (I thought I could just as well cry at that bit, I hated his passing away just that much)sad

That dialogue scene you pointed out was fairly good actually. For a guy who's not an actor, whoever portrayed Motaro actually did a pretty decent job there.

I liked the Scorpion vs Sub-Zero fight but it was too short and meaningless. I don't count the ''Get over here!'' and ''suckers!'' bits as part of the fight by the way.

Cyrax and Jobbers vs Jax and Sonya was pretty cool.

And the end credits are awesome, great song by KMFDM.

The beginning and the end fights were about the best ones. The only fight that I liked during the middle was ironically Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Seeing Johnny cage die was ironically portrayed correctly with Trilogy.

I agree with all of this. The fights (and the soundtrack) were the only redeemable features in an otherwise shambolic excuse for a movie.

That dialogue scene is one of the best, but for me, the best quotation / scene in the movie is when Liu Kang and Shao Kahn are about to duke it out, and the two remaining elder gods (I think fire and water?) descend in their elemental forms and materialize with the words:

"The universe shall be decided as it should be..."

"In MORTAL KOMBAT"

Then the old techno syndrome song kicks in and you think finally, shit is gonna go down...

---

The scene mentioned above, when Raiden goes to implore the elders and kneels on the water Mortal Kombat dragon symbol impressed me too.

I agree with you there! Although some of the fights could be better, the movie was overall a good movie.

Yes, Some of us have not the courage to say that Mortal Kombat Annihilation was good for Mortal Kombat Fans(Not Other People)........

At Least That's my comment that Mortal Kombat Annihilation was Pretty Much better than The First One........For example Just look at those beautiful set designs that Threshold Entertainment has created for the Movie........I really can't believe that the Production Budget of Annihilation was grossed only 5 million dollar from the First Movie(the First Movie's Budget was 25 million dollar and Annihilation's Budget was 30 million dollar)......But I should say that Best Mortal Kombat Movie needs at least 150 million dollar budget........So Annihilation was good for Mortal Kombat Fans but It could be so much better too I'm Talking about a Mortal Kombat Movie that has the Quality of Watchmen Movie(2009)

I don't know why so many people call it a "flop" don't forget it was the number one movie of the week when it came out and it made $51 million and it's budget was $30 million.

the Term "Flop" often given to the Movies that Their Domestic sales be lower than their Budget........the Budget of MKA was 30million$ and Domestic sales were 36million$ so MKA is not a Box Office Flop.

The very brief seconds in witch they show Stryker, as jade talks to Khan is my favorite.

I really liked Brian Thompson's Shao Kahn, a higher budget could have been awesome.
I also think Musetta Vander as Sindel was pretty hot.
So the Shao Kahn/Sindel scenes were my favorite.
