Hey Ace, is the any improvement on the Fatality on anytime? I figured, since the hat slice is the first part of the fatality, maybe you can enable Sub Zero's first part in MKII.
Thanks for the converting the codes Ace. I don't seem to have much luck with GameShark!
As for Artmoney , sometimes you need to "sync" the codes as , as you pointed out , different PC's sometimes store the codes in slightly different addresses.
It's simple enough to do. Just find one of the codes and then choose to "correct the offsets" . Artmoney will then adjust all the codes to work properly.
I should point out that I'm using EPSXE 160 and the Euro version of MKM:SZ

Oh that explains it , you are using the Euro version , addresses should change with using different versions . Other words even if you do convert your artmoney to gameshark using PEC , it may not work with NTSC - U MK Mythologies .
BTW , Good News , I now know how to rip the sprites off from Sub - Zero in MKM :D !
The bad news is that it won't work with enemys , or props , its more like a sprite / pallete changer , if you swap it around , you get different results like the level's bkg part , mixed up Sub - Zero , and more . I may soon find out if it is able to do it on enemies , or maybe try finding the bkg color modifier .
Here is the animation of MKM Sub - Zero Stance , perfectly ripped and viewed perfectly .

I'm really confused. I don't know how to get any cheats. Before you flame me for not reading, I have read the topic, I'm just having trouble understanding. Can someone type out the steps for me or something? It would be much appreciated.

Hey guess whats great : ) I found a character modifier for Mortal Kombat Mythologies , but the thing is , I don't think this is complete , but I will share one code for yall that always work , and the code is always play as scorpion ( The one in the very first stage ) , messing with data sometimes will give you a opponent , but its still pretty hard to get the other ones and may work in only 1 level with one of the characters . I only end up getting a Monk from 1st stage .
Note : This will only work when your hit ( I think being sweeped is more suggested )
Player is Always Scorpion
800E8140 0012
Player is Always Sub-Zero
800E8140 0004
Player is Monk Sometimes ( Only in First Stage )
800E8140 0002
When sweeped , and noticed person changed , change data to be able to hit opponent...
800E8140 0001
Here are some snapshots for proof ...
Scorpion seems to work well and not freeze , the monk also is good , but will freeze if you attempt to do a throw . Enjoy ! I may fix up the code more to be able to work , my main focus for this code now is to try to get a body move set so it will work without having trouble .

You probably don't know how to install it , I may have posted before on how and where to put it . Winrar and Mame and my cheat folder is the requirements . After downloading my latest cheat.rar , open up the rar file , and move that cheat.dat file over to the mame folder dirrectory ( Meaning C:Program Files\Mame32\ ) , if however you already have one , that has more cheats for other games then my cheat.dat ( Which I think is kinda 4 years old or so ) , just put my cheat.dat somewhere else and then open it with notepad and scroll all the way down and copy those codes that are listed like ..
:mk2:00000.... so on
:umk3:00000010..... so on
Just copy those kind of codes , from bottom to top , may take some time , you can use another kind of notepad / wordpad program if you like . Once they are copied , paste it over at the bottom of your CURRENT cheat.dat you have right now at your dirrectory . Test out mame32 and enjoy .

I think this thread deserves a breath of fresh air. Most definitely.
I haven't seen a music modifier code as I looked throughout this for the MK stages in any games. There a possibility of doing it? (Say, having the MK2 Goro's Lair theme always playing, or something like that.)
Also, if you're still around, Ace, do you do any SNES code hacking? I might have some bits and pieces of info valuable for a more playable Jade/Smoke/Noob Saibot on that console version.

Speaking of which is there any possible way we could get a code to have a more real version of playing as the secret characters in MK2. It'd be nice to have Smoke with his smoke and Jade's projectile invincibility. The moveset codes dont allow this.

You set them up yourself - press the TAB key to bring up the menu (whilst the rom is playing) and then go to controls - it will tell you what is currently set to what and it will let you change them to whatever keys you like.

I know my artmoney codes aren't very useful to you , Ace , but i've got some more info for you in mkm:sz
To stop characters from "juddering" when you lock their x offset , you need to set their velocity to 0.
You should find the codes with the following info......
idle has a value of 0
walking has a value of 2
running has a value of 9
Also , SubZero's maximum health is 166. Might be useful for obvious reasons. Although , I haven't got it working 100% as , if you are crushed or fall into a pit etc. the address for that value changes and will no longer work. Also , most codes I've found are stage specific. Sometimes even area within a stage specific

This was probably a fake video, but I am curious. Can you post a link?

I think my way is cool.
Start up MKII Challenger, select your character, now, after you selected your character, pause the game with P, press tab, and go to cheats. If you have Ace's cheat file, go to where it say P1 is... Now select any secret characters, for now, I'll use Smoke. Select P1 is Smoke, and put it on. Now press tab, and unpause the game, now when the round starts, DON'T MOVE BECAUSE THE GAME WILL CRASH! Now pause the game, and press tab again. Now go down and select P1 Body Set/Moveset - ..... Select Scorpion, and press tab and unpause the game. Now move Smoke and VIOLA, Smoke is moveable, but is not fast and no smoke puffs. But the lifebar still says Smoke, and the announcrer says Smoke wins. But his stance and win stance are different, but you can always change the winning stance by putting in pause in the last moment when you punch and kill the opponent. Now select P1 is Smoke, and his stance will be shown.

That isn't real... It is just using cheats to have smokes name, and looking like him. He didn't smoke, and he couldn't run fast. Plus, Kintaro never goes to Goro's Lair.

That's not the video he was talking about. And I can't count how many times i've fought Kintaro using Smoke at Goro's Lair in MAME.
I know that it's been a lot though.
