The title refers to a couple of different situations, one being eczema, an irritating skin rash that is renowned for being hard to get rid of. Another version is that the traditional gift for a 7th anniversary is wool, something that is rather itchy to wear. Yet another is that the "7 Year Itch" is that feeling of wanting more, romantically, emotionally, sexually etc. after being with a spouse for 7 years.
