Sub-Zero
Ok, now here's something of a paradox. On the one hand, there's no denying this looks just fucking perfect. Unbelievable, quite literally, as I had to check wether it was a picture or not quite a few times. I'm a big fan of MKC and I've seen ''In Cold Blood'' tons of times, and this is the shot where Sub-Zero is getting up to lay the smackdown on Kung Lao, Siro and Taja, before Rayden shows up. It's easy to see how much effort went into this, and it was alot. It's beautiful, amazing... unfourtunately, I guess it's just too amazing. Because the truth is, it looks just like a screenshot from the tv show. And even though it's not, it's what it looks like so it's hard for me to see it as art.
Bottom line is, this is beautiful. It looks fantastic. Amazing, I can't say it enough times. It was interesting to see the evolution of the painting and how you edited it to look better too. But next time, I suggest another original drawing rather than turning a screenshot from the show into a painting. Make your own Sub-Zero design, put in in an original pose. Now THAT would be a 5/5. This gets you a 4/5 for lack of originality.

I agree Zentile, normally I don't really base my images on one reference, but I really wanted to make this as realistic as possible, and so I stayed close to that one shot. I can tell you that I'll be working on much more original MK drawings in the future, so you can look forward to that.
I'll definitely consider your critiques for future works, MK based or not. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I painted it with Photoshop, it's not a photo.

It would have also been better if this thread wasn't bumped by like 5 months. Anywayz, great job.

This is sooooo realistic, I can BARELY believe you made this. One part of me says "He didn't do that, that's just a pic of Sub from the movie". The other part says "That's the most realistic fanart EVER!". And, yeah you rite, Nemesis. I don't care if its old.
