Last night when I tried to post this, it said there was an error. That's why I created another thread with a link to my DeviantArt. How did this thread come up...?

Acj let it pass through the system. Images submitted into the system are looked at individually by a single person before they are posted, which is why some pictures only show up days later.
Anyway, I like the picture, but I find Smoke to be too thin, and that Sub-Zero's too dark. Also, if there had been a really neat background, that would've helped make the picture more "authentic" (imagine with a massive explosion background) instead of white. Otherwise, it's cool. Official rating = 3.5/5, but for the actual vote, I'll give it a four.

Oh I see, that's cool. I guess it needs to be checked for content just incase something obscene goes through.

About smoke, I chose a more Metroid approach. I'm a big fan of the slender robots like Evengelion and Samus' suit. I took the same approach with my drunk Sektor, hehe. The background sure could have used ... well... a background! I'll keep that in mind for the next picture. Thanks for boosting it up to a 4, rather than a 3.

The picture looks great. The only thing I would change would be the smoke, it looks a little plain compared to the rest. There are some filters on Gimp and other programs that can help that stuff out.

Nice pic, the only thing that bugs me is Subzero, he doesnt look very excited by the fact that he's been rescued by his robot buddy. Either that, or he did a double-ice breaker and froze his own expression before Smokey came along. GOod work amigo.

I like the sleek look for Smoke, as well as the booster add ons. The anime inspired design is a nice fit. For the background, it might've been cool to see the Netherealm from an aerial view. It might be cool to see it as an alt ending from Deception.

Haha, maybe they will make out... who knows...

But seriously, yeah, I agree, I didn't put too much emphasis on Sub-Zero, but he's supposed to be the background of the pic since I didn't bother putting one in! ^_^ I don't know what gimp is, but I will look into it and try to enhance the smoke for the next... well... Smoke picture I make!

Yeah, the last few pictures I have drawn lack a background. These are all rush jobs, that's why. I just get an image in my head and pencil it in about 20 - 30 minutes and run it through photoshop. I think once I start getting more and more into it, the more details I will put it.

All your kind comments are getting me more into it, so it's not too far from now!

I am afraid I don't love this artwork to the same extent as the previous posters, however it is still nice.

Smoke looks much too skinny. Smoke is quite a lot more thick if you know what I mean, but here he looks very scrawny. Also, the bright red is very distracting from the rest of the artwork. Just something maybe you would like to change...

As for Sub Zero, he looks a lot more neater. I don't like how he is skinny, but his extended arm is quite fat. Perhaps you should fix that a little bit. Also, his legs sort of just disappear.

A background also would have been nice. The smoke effect looks nice, but a proper background would have been better.

Overall, there are a few little things you need to change. I think if you pay a little bit more attention to details, you should be fine. I give this a 6.5/10

Well actually, I like it the way it is and I don't want to change anything. See, I like the whole japanimation robot look, and honestly, a bulky cyborg isn't really all that attractive to me. This isn't like any of the other costumes for smoke so, it's kind of my design (of course mixing the cyber and demon look) with a sleek look more suitable for aerial maneuvering (see those 'red things'? they're gravity repulsors, allowing him to hover and fly for a short while). As for Sub-Zero, I didn't work on him much at all, he's just a background like I stated. I don't think I need a background either, unless you want to draw a background for me that I can just paste over this. My art is just spur of the moment stuff, no background, no storyline in particular, no guidelines (like actual costumes from the games), so it's fine as is

I don't like to defend my work unless the person doesn't really get it, and quite frankly, you just didn't get it. As with all my other cyber ninjas, they're skinny because I prefer graceful and sleek robots rather than the standard. Thanks for bumping the thread though ^_^

You do not ask these kinds of questions in these threads. You have to send a message to either a Portal Guard or higher, but to answer your question, you have to wait as a person needs to approve of the picture first.
