Hard to believe this is a WIP, It looks beautiful as is!

I believe he should be fighting Kabal and Stryker. His victory over them would explain their fate as mentioned in MK Annihilation.

I think it looks great! However, I believe a little more white on the armor will make the picture pop.

Thanks for the comments! I didn't think about tying this to the second film. I only thought about taking parts of the armor from different sources. That's something to consider, thanks.

As for adding more white to his armor, I'm not concerned about that yet. Once I add an environment the lighting could change even more.

For now I'm just trying to find an opponent and environment. So who's a good choice and where should they fight?

If you want him to be in the Lin Kuei, the obvious choices are Sub-Zero or Smoke.

If it's later, when he's running the Tekunnen (sp?) then Frost would be fun. Boobz are always fun to draw.

Maybe do it in a Bamboo Forest, or a pier on a lake with some mist. The green light would play wonderfully in that.

Pretty cool pic, btw. Food for thought, though. Make him aware of what he's punching, right now it just looks like he's jumping for joy, not attacking anyone. Maybe add some more arch to his back as well to increase the dynamics of the pose.
