I really, really like this design. I think you're 100% right whe you say his pose gives him a feel of arrogance, it does and it totally suits him ^_^
Edenia itself has had a slight arabian/west-asian element to it, even if it isnt all that obvious. You get that particularly with Jade with her staff weapon, darker skin and desert arena. Also some of the architecture looked like it was inspired from that region in the Edenian level Deception's konquest. Id love it if they expanded more on that side of edenia personally
