Portal Guard Sanctum
Artist's Remarks: | |
Portal Guards have been known to test the worthiness of warriors to traverse the realms. Here they constructed a small place to allow them to go to different realms and resume their duties.Having learned the way the portals work from ancient legends,a small group used sorcery,to tear the dimensional layer and open a portal. This portal is to be found by nobody, and is kept hidden behind huge stone doors.-Story kredit to Tim.But,I made everything myself this time.If u wanna c only the bg say so.

blacksaibot made a sprite of himself, venomark as well, murdoink as well so did you tried to make your own sprite? because thats a better idea. since a lot of people make sprites of themselves and they always use noob saibot Im going to make a different style its going to be more of a warrior assasing.

The only problem is that the fake is black and white you should put more details like blood on the spikes and etc.

I'm sorry... but this is very dissapointing.
You have a bad habbit of making backgrounds that do nothing but repeat. In this case, it's even more obvoius than your "continue screens." The portal looks good, but the shit around it does not go with the rest of the background at all. The portal guard spite is lame. Cut and paste from other characters and put in grayscale. The only thing I like is Kung Lao's mug shot.

As for the pic, I like the Kung Lao icon... the glowing eyes make's him mor evil-looking... who knows, maybe he'll be eveil-enchanted in the next MK...
The portal guy is ok, the background nice.... I presume it might move...
The Icon for the guard is a bit blurry...
Nice pic..
Keep up the good work!

I would say too sterile. Add some chaos to the background: dirt, debris, blood, cracks. The walls are perfectly clean as are the blades. I can also see the wrapping texture that you used for the door and the walls. The textures are way to small, they repeat too often. The portal guard is actually not too bad but it is pretty obvious where his parts come from. The shadows for the two characters look like they came from Street Fighter, big ovals.

Ah. I dont think you're mean...it's true. I should've put more work into the sprite. And I really should be putting alot more detail into the bg.
