My first fake fatality
Artist's Remarks: | |
Well I know right off the bat that I'm going to get hell for no names but I couldn't find MK3 font, if anyone can help me out it'd be appreciated. Otherwise just ignore that. This didn't take too long, and I'm still working on my technique. Thanks for the replies.

Yet another artist coming into the fake world, thats nice to see.
Well, this one is really simple, and like you said you didn't take much time on it. Well, you know about the lifebars, so I don't need to tell you about the names. Also, remind the win tokens for Reptile as well. Without the names, we have no idea who the victims are. All MK fonts are downloadable from www.mkwarehouse.com last time I checked.
The idea of this is not so bad, but you used Reptile's MKT win pose, and it doesn't look like he is holding the skulls in some areas. Editing is a must there. The acid as I suppose that is, its just a little too bright, a little less bright would be better. Also, perhaps some acid dripping off the victims would have been a nice little touch. Some of the remains in the pool itself look pretty good. I won't bother you on shadows because the stage is so dark already it would be almost impossible to make them out. Also, 'Reptile Wins' text would be good to but here.
This needs something though, some editing by you would be good, make it your own. Again, welcome to the world of fakes.

Well, this is pretty basic really, and for a first, I have seen better, but this is nothing special, as you said.
Few things:
- Lifebars. Well, it's not that hard. If you can't find the MK3 font (which is at the warehouse under the fonts section in the extras section), then use like Arial in italic and bold.
- No names or win marks, but I'm sure you'll remember them in future, as you said .
- No shadows, pretty simple, check the sticky thread on the top of this page entitled "Opinions on how fakes should be done."
- Reptile looks more like he's stroking the heads of the corpses rather than holding them.
Good Things:
+ I LOVE the blood. Is it meant to look that way though, or is that the result of a bad conversion?
Either way, nice blood, but the rest needs more detail. For a first, reasonable I guess, now that you have the hang of getting things into the background, you can add details for next time.

When you save it, you need to save it in a specific folder:
C:\Windows\Fonts
Put it in there, and it should work.

Oh yeah, of course. Thats correct as well, you can move it there if you already have it saved elsewhere.
