What happened to her face? She looks like a man. Shrink it down a bit, it's far too big. The fans are really bad quality, you should be able to find good pics of them on google/yahoo image search. The colouring job is pretty bad too. I can still see pink and the outline around kitana/mileena looks bad. It looks very rushed, so if you rushed it, then take more time on your next pic. A point for effort though.

Nice Pallette Swap, good sprite editing, but the face is really manly, you ghould try too take a better look at her face in some endings in MKD.

The original pic was of a Mileena desktop. I could have just palette swapped the mask, but that would have been lazy. I actually just slapped on two crappy fans and kind of erased the pink background (that's the pink that you see) to make this pic. I did do an ordinary one that still has the Mileena desktop background, which was the one I meant to send. and that one is crystal clear, but the face still looks kinda man-ish. That, I can agree with, but unfortunately, I didn't even notice this until After I was done. But the face was all meshed together, not just a cut and paste job, so it took a few hours. And I had to edit her costume because the veil cover part of it. If you don't like the work, that's fine, but at least appreciate the time I spent on it. here's the fist one I did.

OK. For those of you who can't read, I already said that there was not just a cut and paste of Sonya; I DIDN"T EVEN USE SONYA!!!!! It was Li Mei, Kira, and Mileena; 12-14 layers on PS; Mesh them together, add a bit of color, and there...you're done. It's actually kind of fun to do for anyone willing to try. Just take basic facial elements; eyes, lips, nose, chin. Put them in a desired place on the face. Then take eyebrows, cheeks, sides of jaw, area above the lip. now start blending them together with a smudge tool. Usually, a 50% strength is good. If the face still needs some more, get some more cheek and sides of the head, put those on, and blend it in with the smudge tool. After you have blended the face sufficiently so that it resembles a face, start doing some small detail painting. take a color sample from the cheek, for example, to color over a section that may have been blended with the side of the head, etc. So, now the sides of the head and the bottom might be messy. So, you have to clean it up; I took some of the backround and blended it around Kitana's head to make it look like there was never any blank space where her head was. And you have a lot of other clean up work to do after that besides the palette swapping. For example, I took Mileena's veil out, so there was a blank space in her costume, I just took the surrounding colors and sample cut-outs to make it seem like the shoulders and the neck were there the whole time. This is just the method I came up with when I made this, but you might be able to come up with an even better one. I'd like to see more custom faces in the fansub forum.

I think it was a very good attempt. it just needs some work. Spend some time at it and get a nice face. But the blue/pink change was well done. Anyway, needs some work but still nice attempt!

Geez. IT LOOK LIKE A MAN! But it ok. I think that it must have take a while b/c you told me that. Custom face or not it still look like a guy. But I like the swapping and the costume mod you did. and it is still cool to see kitana w/o a mask for deception. good job eric.
