It's a very good drawing, however I don't much like the costume. The leather just doesn't fit her. I get a dominatrix feel from her.

It's pretty much just a real world-ification of her UMK3 outfit, or a cross between that and the movie costume. Not out of character at all when you look at it in those terms.

Like somebody else says, it's sort of like her movie costume and sort of like the game ones. It is in character I think.

I think I still just like her MK:DA - A alternate best, but this still awesome, and your drawing skills are pretty ace. If this turned out to be her MK9 costume I wouldn't be disappointed.

Great artwork as always Jax. 5/5 it looks amazing.

Im not really the biggest fan of the bun hairstyle though, I think it would ahve looked better had her hair been down MK2 style.

I must also say, I preferred an older design you did for Kitana, where you had her in kimono style attire (you did a whole big bunch of character designs in the same image). Seeing that larger and in colour would be awesome (hint hint haha).

To explain, I feel like Kitanas recent designs (esp. MKvsDC) were too goody girl; the Baby blue, the huge ponytail, the big ribbon...she lost the mysterious badass assasin quality she had in the first few games.

This is more of a return to her UMK3/MKG look with elements from the Mortal Kombat movie.

The idea with these character redesigns is to keep the classic character looks and modernise them, trying to keep away from the costumy looks of recent games. Simple without being boring.

Its a great photo but doesnt look like Kitana. The costume makes her look like a dominatrix. However give her a new weapon I could easily see her being a brand new character

Wtf! how does it nok look like kitanna? Have You ever played a single mortal Kombat game, Cause thats basicly how she looks A female in a blue ninja suit with fans. And why on earth would she say she should be a new character, she would just look like a ripoff of kitanna

This is an amazing design! A recognizable yet fresh Kitana concept. I agree with Jax that the baby-blue shade they've been using for Kitana lately is horrible, and I really wish that they'd swap back to the darker, rich blues she use to wear.
