Well this is cool, the haunted house kinda fits well there, although it looks too cartoony to me. That lightning is pretty cool, but did you make it or did you just paste the sprites and prop onto the cartoony haunted house with the lightning?
As for Kano's knife...well...it's a bit.... huge? And it looks nothing like a knife. Looks more like a hadouken from Street Fighter Alpha.
You could've edited something here and there...maybe the ground, to make it match the haunted house a little more. Or maybe you could've just shown us how this would've turned out with two more frames, to show the knife pierced through Liu with lots of blood.
I give it three dragon points.

I don't like it. You took a picture of a "haunted house" and just slapped on the Waste Land ground and it doesn't go together. I really don't see anything but copy and paste. Nothing great at all. It's very, very plain and boring.
I find it hard to believe that you made a thread on how fake pics should be like, and you come up with THIS thing.
Maybe try making a fatality with some EDITING?

Well, it's pretty basic really.
As bs said, it's just a house with some lightning with the wasteland's ground prop infront of it.

Shadows are NOT hard, lol.
Paint, skew it about 40% colour black and line up the feet, simple.
There isn't anything wrong with Kano's knife as it's straight from the game, what is wrong with it is that you kept the sprite in there, lol.
That sprite is part of his projectile effect and projectile's in the 2D mk games aren't very realistic, so use a better knife .

Anyhow:
- The background is basic, it's just bits and pieces put together.
- No shadows, see above .
- No win marks either .
- Use a better knife rather than the MK Team's cheesy effect, lol.

Good things:
+ Well, even though the background is simple, it is well put together and reasonably effective (except maybe the angle at which the camera looks at the house.)
+ Everything else is so so, I guess.

I'm sure you're gonna here about making this in relation to your post at the top of this forum, lol.
But do take note of the points, shadows are easy, using an existing background will do (although of course, the main point of this is the background), and do a little bit of editing, in this picture, it would be the knife and perhaps Kang actually hitting the knife with blood etc.

The knifes aren't huge, it is an optic ilusion due the motion!
The fake is kinda plain. I suppose you just focuse on haunted house.

Ok, this is a bit simple. First, like tim said, shadows are not hard to do, one of the most simple things in a fake really. Check your post at the top for details.

I don't really like the idea of a haunted house in MK, like blacksaibot said, its pretty much copy/paste. In my opinion, the wasteland's prop doesn't fit in with this, you should have made/edited something new for this.

A fatality is needed here defiantly. The only times when its ok to make a fake thats not a fatality is when you are showing off sprite edits or a complex background. I don't see either of those here really, it needs more editing on anything to make this good. I do like the lightning, it fits in with haunted house i guess, but other than that there is nothing back there but the house itself. Smaller details are needed to make the BG more impressive in my opinion.

anyways you didn't edit the sprites which falls in the category of copy . The background is not that impressive and the floor doesn't really connect. No shadows makes your fake pic even boring. I like the lifebars.

i dont like it no shadows(although i dont see why people need them), the house is outta balance and doesnt go, and it doesnt look like liu is going into the knifes motion, is this ur first i never saw u postone b4?

Well what do you know? Justin boy posted a pic to show us. To be honest, I don't like this pic too much. The haunted house itself seems to be pasted on and to me, it doesn't seem to fit in smoothly. I also don't know why you put the ground from the wasteland. Kano's knife seems weird looking as well and I don't quite understand the concept of Liu Kang fighting Kano in a haunted house. Overall, I give it 2 dragons.

A job well done. I have never evveeeer seen a backround like that before in an MK game. 4/5
