Ice can put out fire. But still Scorpion is stronger than Sub-zero.
Yeah quarters were pretty much finals. Pretty sure Scorpion has the tournament won already. Boring....
Edit: Just as I wrote that, Sub Zero took the lead lol.
Sub-Zero is the 2-time champ and Scorpion has never won.
He's really good in this game and I think he could take it, so Scorpion gets my vote.
Nice to see people having something to say too bad its nonsense. Scorpion never wins. Hes great in mk11 and probably should but Sub-Zero is good too.

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - SEMI FINAL:
Kitana versus Raiden
#4 Supreme Ranking #2
27 wins 7 losses Record 28 wins 7 losses
Runner-Up (2018) Best Result Runner-Up (2013)
Kitana is rightful heir to the lost kingdom of Edenia. Her realm conquered and merged with Outworld: she was raised oblivious to her birthright until she died for it. While her revenant seized power in Netherrealm, her time-displaced younger-self returned to fight Kronika and defeat Shao Kahn. Raiden is the immortal protector of Earthrealm and god of thunder. He has stood vigilant against the invading forces of Outworld and other threats, leading the charge against threats like Shinnok and Kronika at great cost to himself. Will Kitana's reign be washed out by Raiden's storm? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!
Why are Sub-Zero and Scorpion in the semi finals when everyone knows that they are the two most popular characters and that both of them would win over Kitana and/or Raiden?
The finals should be between Sub and Scorp...
or at least there should be a losers finals for the second place...
You do know how tournament brackets work don't you? Winner moves on, loser is eliminated. The starting bracket is on the very first page. The staff didn't randomly put Sub-Zero and Scorpion against each other in the semis for lolz. People voting each round did.
There WAS a round where Sub-Zero and Scorpion met. And Sub-Zero won, fortunately. Seeing what was the chance (how many votes of difference? 2? 3?) I'm glad to be in a right place, in a right time. I love Master Hasashi though, especially in his human form, but sorry, Kuai Liang I love more. I hope there won't be a problem for him to win against Raiden or Kitana whoever wins this round... if happens vice versa, I'll laugh very loudly.
Kitana shouldve won last year. She was awesome in MKX and her dark empress look was amazing and the hype was real. Now that mk11 is here it just didnt follow through like it should. Shes a rerun in bad cosplay. Raiden delievered and is still an icon in every way. Hes overdue.
AgentK is all salt but you make one good point. At least there was no Fujin shenanigans. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kitana, or Raiden are all worthy.
Raiden, but I could have gone either way here.

Can you elaborate? Because I don't understand what you mean by Raiden "delivered" compared to Kitana. What exactly? Kitana is still better in the game, definitely looks better than ever imo and is not any less of an icon than Raiden.

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - CHAMPIONSHIP:
Sub-Zero versus Raiden
#1 Supreme Ranking #2
36 wins 5 losses Record 29 wins 7 losses
Champion (2017) Best Result Runner-Up (2013)
The more things change - the more they stay the same. The emergence of Kronika disrupted time and literally brought the past back to haunt the present. This time the threat was to all of reality as we know it as The Keeper of Time led an army to destroy the rebooted timeline. The balance of power returned to favour the forces of light as they forged new power, but the future is as uncertain as ever. As we reflect upon the latest adventure, one question is the constant: Who reigns supreme?
Sub-Zero: A warrior converted to machine, revenant, and back to his mortal self. Reluctant to fight during Shinnok's invasion, this time the Lin Kuei Grandmaster was a proactive player in the battle against Kronika. His alliance with Scorpion was strengthened as they fought to shut down the reactivated Cyber Initiative and thwart the wayward Frost. He helped recruit the ferryman Kharon as the allied forces of Earthrealm and Outworld made their final charge towards victory. Kuai Liang has long been favoured, but were his action great enough to make him champion of Mortal Kombat 11? His path to the final saw the defeat of: Cyrax (R1), Frost (R2), Johnny Cage (R3), Jade (QF), and Scorpion (SF).
Raiden: A protector god tainted by evil, but restored by his old self. Raiden's attempts to avert Armageddon created this timeline, where cleansing Earthrealm's Jinsei left him darkened by Shinnok. Even as Kronika attempted to undo Raiden's subversions, her timequake restored him through the reemergence of his earlier self. With renewed clarity he helped guide Earthrealm's warriors against the many old enemies loyal to Kronika. In the end, merging his power with a champion secured final victory. Raiden succeeded in protecting Earthrealm once again, but will he be champion of Mortal Kombat 11? He defeated: Argus (R1), Cetrion (R2), Rain (R3), and last year's finalists Shang Tsung (QF), and Kitana (SF).
The newest chapter of Mortal Kombat has at last been written. Two stalwarts have faced the perils of a war in time and forged a destiny of their own. Now it is time for the final battle of the 2019 Supreme Mortal Kombat Champion tournament! Will it be cold ice or the raging storm? Let your voice be heard as we ask the ultimate question one final time: Who reigns supreme? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!
... here's your Subzero, now plain zero.
Thunder take you!
Got to be Raiden. I like his costumes the most in this game and he has a great role in the story. I like his sacrifice in the story. A great showing for Raiden. Riaden has been getting better and better since the soft reboot.
I personally think MK11 was Sub-Zero's worst showing since the soft reboot. His costumes are lackluster and he is carried in the story by Hanzo. They do not do anything to flesh him out even with his clan being cyberised.
I think Sub-zero would win
I've said before that I wish we saw more of Dark Raiden, but I'm really happy with him in this game overall. Raiden would be a worthy champion this year.
Pretty good final either would be respectable. Raiden is the more compelling of the 2 in mk11.

Raiden has defeated Sub-Zero to become the 2019 Supreme Champion!
Despite his iconic status this is the first time Raiden has won the annual tournament. He has only appeared in the final battle once before, losing a controversial finish in 2013. Internal predictions placed him in good stead to win, with the result of the Semi Final with Kitana pegged to be a pivotal one, possibly impacted by her status as last year's Runner-Up. Even so, it was the first time the #1 and #2 seeds met in a final.
This year's tournament was all about Mortal Kombat 11! With no sign of the release at last year's E3, this was our first opportunity to poll impressions of the latest title. The new title was well represented in robust voting results
Four new kombatants were introduced in MK11: Geras emerged the strongest of the group with a debut charge into the third round placing him at #19! He's followed into the supreme ranks by boss character Kronika (#25), The Kollector (#34), and Cetrion (#38), who all made strong impressions in the second round. Non-playable character Kharon was also included from MK11's story mode, but the immortal ferryman's non-combative role saw him perform relatively poorly.
The time bending plot of MK11 inspired a deep dive into the past of series canon for a few surprise entrants. Only the legendary Great Kung Lao made it past the first round, benefitting from mythic status, and a cameo as a spirit in MK11. He upset his contemporary in a shock result. Shokan ruler King Gorbak, and Armageddon's Edenian God Argus, were both swiftly relegated to the lower ranks, as was Delia.
With a total of eight new additions debuting in this year's tournament, it was difficult for existing characters to make significant gains. The strongest climber was Sheeva, up +3 ranks off a major role in MK11's story mode, and expectations of a future DLC release. Two fights in the Top 16 also climbed +2 ranks.
Viewed without the drag of newly ranked fighters, several characters had strong performances: A fresh style for Skarlet made her one of MK11's MVPs and a top adjusted gainer, while Frost and Nightwolf resisted the tide, as well. Absence clearly made fondness grow for Takeda, Kai, and Hsu Hao. Adjusted results show rankings promise from Reptile, Baraka, Cassie Cage, and D'Vorah, as well.
The influx of new fighters invariably meant the biggest movement in 2019 was downward. Shujinko and Nitara had the largest falls, dropping -10 ranks as the legacy of the 3D Klassic era is eclipsed by the present. Complete absence from MK11 also meant the bloom was off the rose for Ferra/Torr who plummeted -9, equalled only by bottom ranked obscurity Ruutuu, who was pushed to #89 by default of new additions. -8 drops also occurred for Tanya and Sareena, who enjoyed a previous spike thanks to roles in MKX that were not reprised in MK11.
Only 9 of a total 89 characters remains in the same position after this year's results! There has also been significant movements in the key Top 16, with at least one exit and new addition!
Next year we expect to be looking at the continued expansion of Mortal Kombat 11, and production on a new Mortal Kombat movie. Omissions are inevitable, so now is the time to tell us which characters you hope to see make it into next year's draw!
MK Online thanks everyone who voted in daily user polls and spread the word through social media. As always, extra credit goes to those who shared their review of current characters on the forum. Discussing the current status of charactets and the series is ultimately what the annual tournament is all about! We hope to see you here in 2020 for a year sure to be filled with cringeworthy hindsight puns!
