He is one of the reasons I have faith in new characters, he was an awesome addition and needs to come back in a big way.

People that never post on this forum ,but still come here only know the MK 1,2 and 3 characters.

So most of the after MK3 characters are lost because of those people anyway.

Not every MK 1-3 character deserves to win..

Cyrax is probably the most popular cyber ninja. Plus he's the most reoccurring one. Havik is really only popular in comparison to the other MKD debuts.

I don't know if he's the most recurring, as he's been in only one more game than Sektor (Deadly Alliance) and both were in the Legacy series.
I think it's mainly because NRS can't be bothered to flesh out Sektor in both personality and storyline.

Scorpion is my 6th favorite character, while Li Mei is literally one of the worst Mortal Kombat characters.

That's what makes him the most reoccurring though. Also people might remember Cyrax from Annihilation.

To be honest, everyone's better off not remembering Annihilation.

I voted for the NRS mascot.

That's a factor, but not strictly the deciding vote. Don't forget - hard core fandom is divided about characters like Havik, as well.

Some see him as an aspirational figure for the downtrodden. A Dark Knight Joker-esque empowerment fantasy who's going to shake up the dominant, populist status quo which is oh-so troublesome. Others see him as a dead-end character with a so-so design, a silly in-game gimmick, a concept that's inconsistent and always going to be delivered with contradictions, and no real purpose by definition.

His appearance in MK2011 (arcade endings) has helped keep him alive as a cult character post-MKA. Obviously hopes for MKX are a factor in voting this year, as well. He was much more swiftly eliminated in previous years, where Frost (Round 1 opponent) was in better favour. This has been Havik's best showing to date. In an ensemble cast like MK's, it's all about embracing the minutiae. Enjoy the win.

Scorpion shouldn't only be winning by 58.2%.. he should be winning by a whole 80%...

This match is obviously unfair for Li Mei. But I really dislike her. And I can't afford her to go further than Nitara. She doesn't deserve it.
