In 2012, we merged the realms of the MKO forums and live chat in a never before experienced weekly event! Friday Night Fights served as a yearbook for 2012, canonizing some of our best members in the community who dared join the Kombat Fight League!
With first year competitors now charging up the Internet Relay Kombat pyramid in an all-out final battle for 2012 supremacy - it's time to start the sign-ups for Season 2013!
To register for the Fight League, all you need to do is post in this thread and declare your interest! As a member of the league, you will then be able to challenge your fellow users (by posting), or find yourself in randomized ranking match-ups as part of our weekly Friday Night Fights! Grudges and challenges can be decided in 1v1, 2v2 or 3-Way match types, each containing its own unique mix of risk and reward!
How does it all work? Fights earn players XP stats which then contribute to a carefully created fight-simulation algorithm, designed to recreate all the facets of a real battle. In other words -- a Random Number Game! Almost any competitor can win a match, but the greater the XP, the greater the potential to punish your opponents with maximum impact!
You can fight 24/7 and boost your stats by joining MKO's official IRC chan!
For questions and discussion about the IRC, refer to the sticky thread. You can also find links to a variety of connection methods, including MKO's java applet (which is safe for use, but may require confirmation for firewalls).
The commands you need to know on IRC are pretty simple:
You must be registered to trigger actions on IRC. Many of you are already registered based on previous appearances in the chat, and may have some stats to start your campaign.
If you don't wanna venture onto IRC, you don't have to!
Registering right here on the forums (by posting in this thread) will lock you in to sit back and enjoy the ride as weekly Friday Night Fights increase your score, win or lose. You'll be missing out on some fun, though.
For more details, visit the Kombat Fight League sub-site!
Short version: post a reply saying you wanna fiiiiight!
Internet Relay Kombat 2013 Registrants:
The Internet Relay Kombat KFL Championship will carry-over from 2012, but this is a fresh start for rankings! Existing players should make the effort to re-register -- and new players should jump on board! Rankings will be reset for Season 2013, starting the battle to be the best all over again.

You know I want to have championship gold again.
I'm sure you do. Which is why I'll be nice and dangle my title belt in front of you so you can enjoy what it feels like to be allowed to see it.

Having defeated her opponents, CaTigeReptile was granted full access to the sorcerer's cookbooks. There, she succeeded in discovering the sequence of ingredients necessary to satisfy her hunger with delicious results. Have a nice day.

The battle of Armageddon had cost them dearly, this league of warriors. Where once there had been more than forty, now stood less than half. Littering the battlefield, the bodies of those whose will could carry them no further; redman, Chryo_Spyder, NovaStarr and jack4813. On and on, their numbers dwindled.
Through the shifting sands, two familiar kombatants -- risen like lazarus to again contest the Kombat Fight League Championship! Sekktor and VenoMark would resume the fight of their fellows, those yet to stand on two feet. Alongside them; a new breed of warrior who chases immortality -- UlcaTron and blacksaibot!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Though many had fallen in the final battle of 2012 -- some took their opportunity to rise to the top! TonyTheTiger had loitered in obscurity throughout 2012, but with the glory of the year-end Supreme Championship before him, he was inspired -- a predator on the prowl! Though his rampage delivered him to the #1 rank, he was unable to contest the Championship held by The_Purple_Bunny! TPB was bested by an old rival -- Genku; the Supreme Champion of 2012!
Desperate to return to the title that made him a legend, TPB's first obstacle could only be the greatest threat seen in the final month! Toe to toe, cheek to cheek, the heavyweights clashed! When the dust of a passing age settled, The_Purple_Bunny emerged the first in a long line of challengers who will hunt the gold in 2013!
Genku will defend his Supreme Championship for the first time next week -- himself reeling from a non-title defeat at the hands of Mick-Lucifer! The loss will either undermine the great one's defense of his 2012 crown, or galvanize his strength, to allow him victory over TPB anew! The Kombat Fight League has begun again...
The challenge period for Week 2 is now open!
Players can challenge any registered opponent to a bout next Friday, with 1v1, 2v2 and 3-Way match types available to those so inclined. Challenges can be made by fighters new and old. Challenging the reigning KFL Champion will solicit a non-title battle, and delay defense for that week. Signing up is as simple as posting in this thread and declaring your entry into the Internet Relay Kombat Fight League!
Playing is as simple or as involving as you like. Try your lucky hand with the XP you build just from participating on the forum, or improve your fighting potential by teleporting to the realm of IRC, where the game is always on! It's Kombat Online on Mortal Kombat Online! [Sub-Site]

Funny, because while you were doing that, Genku kicked the crap out of you.
