The younger SZ, Kuai Liang. I do not like how he is portrayed in this current timeline. Retro SZ is way better in my opinion, as he would have incapacitated Johnny Cage with the help of Scorpion when attacking the helicopter.

The only true surviving Lin Kuei warrior that I find interesting in this timeline is Frost.

You could say the same thing about everyone in Mortal Kombat (2011) and MKX. The character personalities in this new timeline flat out sucks.

They all have potential. Even the silly ones (Mokap, Meat, Aqua). For god's sake people, have a sense of humour.

I'd be all in favour of bringing back some of the formerly overlooked. I mean, if they can turn Stryker from dud to stud, they can do that with anyone (even Kobra - my own personal least liked character).
Hsu Hao. That character should have stayed on paper, as part of someone's horrible fanfic, and never made it into an MK game whatsoever.

^^^^seconded. Never forget that they fixed Stryker, the absolute joke of the MK series, and turned Rain into one of the best characters. (Granted Rain was god-tier in UMK3 Genesis/MKT, but still). In fact I'd say that MK is almost unique in how it salvages characters. I think that saying "This character COULD have been cool but they did it wrong" would be the exact reason to NOT erase a character from existence.
